Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

JESUS—HIS LOVE IS EVERLASTING!

Review your life . . .

(While I review my life . . .)

This is an on-going reflection.

Hence the ellipsis.

This could potentially take us quite a significant amount of time, so, maybe we need to get a cup of hot tea, pull out our notebook, turn to an empty page, pick up our favorite pen, poised for what God will reveal as—We Review Our Lives.

1.  The first and MOST important question:  Is there a time when we placed our faith in Jesus Christ and His work upon the cross and in the tomb?

If not, may we pause right here.

If not, may we take up our Bible and turn to what some lovingly refer to the “Roman Road” to God’s Salvation.

Romans 3: 23

Romans 6:23

Romans 5: 6-11

John 3: 16-17

John 14: 6

Romans 10: 8-13

1 John 5: 13

These Scripture verses will lead us to answer the first and MOST important question.

These Scripture verses will reveal—JESUS—HIS LOVE IS EVERLASTING!

2. Then, we come to a second question:  How far does the love of Jesus extend to His disciples, to those who have received the gift of His salvation?

For this question, may we take up our Bible and turn again to the book of John.  In fact, let us pause to read one verse (together).

“Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour had come that He would depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.”

(John 13: 1 NASB)

How far is the end?

How deep is the love of Jesus for His own disciples who are in the world?

How long can we rely upon the love of our Savior?

How much (as in how deep) is the love of God for His children?

These are the questions the world around us needs answered as they journey through this solitary day.

There truly is only one answer necessary!

TRULY, THERE IS ONLY ONE ANSWER, & THE ANSWER COMES IN A SINGLE WORD:  JESUS!

The entirety of the Word of God reveals—JESUS—HIS LOVE IS EVERLASTING!

3.  Therefore, we come to a final question:  How must we react to ALL that JESUS has done for us?

For this final question, we turn again to our Bible and place our eyes within the Old Testament, and we begin to sing.

May we raise our voices (together).

“Open the gates of
righteousness to me;
I will enter through them,  I will
give thanks to the LORD.
This is the gate of the LORD;
The righteous will enter through it.
I will give thanks to You, for
You have answered me,
And You have become my salvation.

A stone which the builders rejected
Has become
the chief cornerstone.
This came about from the LORD;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day which the
LORD has made;
Let’s rejoice and be glad in it.
Please, O LORD, do save us;
Please, O LORD, do send prosperity!

Blessed is the one who comes
in the name of the LORD
[GOD ALMIGHTY];
[HE HAS A NAME:
  JESUS CHRIST THE MESSIAH!]

We have blessed you from
the house of the LORD.
The LORD is God and He
has given us light;
Bind the festival sacrifice to the
horns of the altar with cords.
You are my God, and I
give thanks to You;
You are my God, I exalt You.
Give thanks to the LORD,

[We Should!]
[God’s Children—should!]
[The Disciples of Jesus Christ—should!]
for He is good;
For His mercy is everlasting.

(Psalm 118: 19-29 NASB)

The entirety of the Word of God reveals—JESUS—HIS LOVE IS EVERLASTING!

The Bible—Magnificent Promises!

God works for His Glory & Our Long-Term Spiritual Good!

Oh, how marvelous!

Oh, how wonderful!

Our Savior’s Love Remains Forever!

“For His mercy is everlasting.”

JESUS—YOU ARE THE ONE WE PRAISE!

JESUS—YOU ARE THE ONE WE BOW DOWN TO ADORE!

JESUS—YOU ARE THE ONE WE RAISE OUR HANDS IN PRAISE!

JESUS—YOU ARE THE ONE WE DANCE, TWIRL, AND SING UNTO AS WE TRAVEL LIFE’S JOURNEY!

JESUS—YOU ARE THE ONE WE DECLARE TO THE WORLD OF PEOPLE SURROUNDING US!

JESUS—YOU ARE THE ONE WE HUNGER FOR—YES—ONLY YOU!

“Praise the LORD, all nations;
Sing His praises, all peoples!
For His mercy toward us is great,
And the truth of the LORD
is everlasting.

[MAY WE, THE REDEEMED]
Praise the LORD!”

(Psalm 117: 1-2 NASB)
