Rest Assured; God Gives Us Exactly What We Need
The LORD spoke to Moses & gave him the words to speak to Aaron and to the sons of Israel.
“You are to say to them:
(Numbers 6: 23b-26 NASB)
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD cause His face to shine on you,
And be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up His face to you
And give you peace.”
Dreams are important. All types of dreams.
- When we are children, scary dreams shake us awake and propel us to our parents’ comfort & embrace.
- When we are young adults, life dreams step with us as we cross the stage to receive our high school diploma and go with us as we “chase” after the dream.
- When we are older, dreams shake us awake, driving us down upon our knees to prayer as we know God’s power is the only way to possibly walk through our “this.”
Dreams.
They come in all life-stages and drive us to action, so we should not be surprised when those early believers were affected by their dreams in much the same way. To help understand the power of God, see Jacob’s dream & Jacob’s reaction.
Jacob had just departed from one place and was headed to another. During his travels, he happened to be in a certain place, so he decided to spend the night there; however, this place was not filled with hotels, so Jacob decided to camp in an open field. Now Jacob was not prepared to camp, and so he did not even have a tent or cover or pillow with him that night; therefore, Jacob had to improvise.
Jacob chose a rock and placed it as a resting place for his head.
Then Jacob stretched out, laying down with his head gently resting upon the stone he had chosen. That’s where we find Jacob’s dream-state beginning, & That’s where we see how Jacob encountered the LORD.
“And he had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
(Genesis 28: 16b NASB)
Then behold, the LORD was standing above it and said, “I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and to your descendants.
Your descendants will also be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, and to the north and to the south; and in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “The LORD is certainly in this place, and I did not know it!”
Come and See.
Come with me to church.
Come.
Awake from your sleep and See how “The LORD is certainly in this place, and I did not know it!” (Genesis 28: 12-16 NASB)
Come and meet my Jesus.
Come and know my Lord.
Come and Accept the truth.
Come and Believe in Jesus.
Come and Confess your sins. &
Come to Know Jesus as Savior.
That’s all God expects of us: His children.
Simple Testimony.
Straightforward Witnessing.
- We invite those who share our family tables to “Come and See.”
- We invite those who work beside us to “Come and See.”
- We invite those who play wherever we enjoy playing to “Come and See.”
