A walk through life toward eternity

God Works Through Our Daily Lives If We Allow Him

I read this quote by Timothy Keller:  “Christianity empowers its people to sit in the midst of this world’s sorrows, tasting the coming joy.”

God often uses our relationships with others to bring about His purposes.

God’s salvation is a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus.

Many people are believers, Christians, because someone else introduced them to Jesus.

  • Who do we know who we spoke JESUS to yesterday?
  • Who do we know who is lost, without the Hope found in JESUS?
  • Who do we know, who do we have a relationship with (this side of heaven) who truly needs a personal, intimate relationship with JESUS?
  • Is our relationship with this person on earth (keeping a close relationship with them on earth) more important than their eternal salvation, more than their Eternity with GOD?

God Works Through Our Daily Lives IF We Allow HIM!

In the Bible, we read about the beginning of Jesus’ public, earthly ministry and about the first converts.  The apostle John records the historical record of Jesus calling His disciples.

Can you imagine what all the people of that day thought when they met Jesus face-to-face?!!!

Can you imagine what these men—felt—when Jesus invited them to come follow Him?!!!

When the apostle Andrew was first led to know Jesus as his personal Savior, Andrew did what any great brother does—he immediately ran and brought his brother Simon Peter to Jesus.

“One of the two who heard John speak and followed Him, [who turned and began following Jesus] was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

He found first his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which translated means Christ).”

(John 1: 40-41 NASB)

Can you imagine what someone today—feels—when they meet Jesus for the first time?!!!

God does & God can & God will use us to accomplish His purpose that all may come to know Him.

My mother tells the story of my young nephew turning to his older brother with these words:  “If you don’t become a Christian, you will die and go to hell.”

Brother testifying to brother!

God Works Through Our Daily Lives IF We Allow HIM!

Praise the LORD—God used my young nephew’s words & his older brother accepted Christ into his tender heart just last week!

Who do we know, who will we speak with today who remains encased in a sin-sickness, who is dying—Without—the HOPE JESUS Offers?

  • Are we willing to tell those we know about the Great Physician?
  • Are we willing to tell those we know about our Savior?
  • Are we willing to tell those we know about our Amazing God?
  • Are we available to God?
  • Are we willing to be used by God?
  • Are we willing to simply exclaim, “Yes, LORD, use me!”

OR

  • Are we hesitant to lay down our fears?
  • Are we hesitant to give up our earthly relationships?
  • Are we more concerned with the here & now MORE THAN a person’s eternal destination?

In the Old Testament, we read in the record of 2 Kings about a servant girl who saw how her master Naaman needed healing, she immediately told her master’s wife about Elisha, the man of God.  While it is true, her master needed physical healing for his skin disease;  it is even more true that her master needed spiritual healing for his “sin disease.”  The prophet Elisha was clear in his instruction:  “Wash and be clean.”

  • Who do we know who needs to be washed clean by the blood of the Lamb of God?
  • Who do we know who needs to meet our Great Physician, JESUS?

God Works Through Our Daily Lives IF We Allow HIM!

GOD is still in the business of saving souls for eternity!

God still allows His children to become His hands & His feet & His mouth as He Works Though Our Daily Lives.

  • GOD still grants His Mercy!

Those who hear the Word of God and realize they are lost CAN BE SAVED!

Those who realize they are headed to an eternal damnation, to be eternally separated from God’s presence CAN BE SAVED!

  • GOD still grants His Grace!

If We Allow God to Use Us, We Can Be A Useful Vessel to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

Today is a perfect day for someone to come to know Jesus as Savior & LORD!

Praise the LORD—God grants us relationships with people.

Praise the LORD—God grants us boldness and confidence to testify of the goodness found in Him.

Praise the LORD—God will Use us if we are willing & allow Him to move through us.

Praise the LORD—God’s Amazing Grace is still available to those who seek Jesus and wish to be found.

Praise the LORD—There is HOPE to be found even today!

Praise the LORD—HOPE has a name—JESUS CHRIST!

HE is the MESSIAH & HE is the SAVIOR of the world!

The Bible speaks about God’s free offer of MERCY & GRACE found through His Son Jesus Christ.

May we each realize that the most important and crucial relationship we need to seek—our personal relationship with Jesus.

JESUS IS THE ONLY “ME” THAT TRULY MATTERS!

“Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,

And delight yourself in abundance.

Incline your ear and come to Me.

Listen, that you may live;

And I will [JESUS WILL] make an everlasting covenant with you, . . .”

(Isaiah 55: 2b-3a NASB)

Real faith typically displays itself in real action!

May We Be A Useful Vessel to our Savior & LORD!
