Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Have We Joined God In His Work?

We See God With Our Spiritual Eyes &

We Join God With Our Physical Hands & Feet—With Our Bodies.

God Is At Work!

How much of that statement do you believe?

Do we believe only the first word?—We believe—in God.

Do we believe in the first word and the second?—We believe—God Is.

If we believe in the first word and the second, then do we believe in the third?—We believe—God Is At (as in God is present).

Friend, if we believe in the truth of “GOD,” & if we believe God truly “IS” with us, & also If we believe the truth that “GOD IS AT” omnipresent, everywhere, then friend, we can believe all four words—GOD IS AT WORK!

Let us sit right there for a moment.  Yes, sit—there.

Sense the peace of God as we realize the vital truth that GOD IS AT WORK!

Even

When

We

Cannot

See

How

God is at work, STILL We Can Know—GOD—IS—AT—WORK!

There are some beautiful Scripture passages that offer us biblical guidance as we see “how” & “where” & “when” & “what” & “whose” & “why”—GOD IS AT WORK—in our lives and in the lives of others.  While I could just tell you about these Bible passages, I know that what the world seeks most of all is God, so friend, SEE WITH ME GOD’S HOLY WORD.

“Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

It was the Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.

So the sisters sent word to Him, [to Jesus] saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

But when Jesus heard this, He said,  “This sickness is not to end in death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.”

Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

So when He heard he was sick, He then stayed two days longer in the place where He was.”

(John 11:  1-6)

GOD IS AT WORK!

When Jesus heard that Lazarus was sick, Jesus remained two more days where he was and did not come immediately to heal Lazarus from his sickness.  WHY?  That is such an easy question to answer.

GOD IS AT WORK!

Friend, as we reach the end of our time together, there are FOUR QUESTIONS that settle deep within me, questions I ask myself and you.

QUESTION #1—Where do you see God at work in your life?

QUESTION #2—Where do you see God at work in the life of someone you know, someone you love?

QUESTION #3—Where are you at work, in your own life, working with God, working within HIS WILL?

QUESTION #4—Where are you at work, in the life of someone you know, someone you love, working with God, working within HIS WILL?

GOD IS AT WORK!

Have We Joined God In His Work?

“Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature;  a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away;

but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory;

the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood;  for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;

but just as it is written,

THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD,

AND WHICH HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN,

ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”

(1 Corinthians 2: 6-9)

“For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear,

Nor has the eye seen a God besides You,

Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him.”

(Isaiah 64:4)

GOD IS AT WORK!

We cannot just “hope” we see God at work in our lives or in the lives of others.

We cannot just walk through life “hoping” others will get a glimpse of God’s goodness and love.

We cannot just walk through our days “wishing” we knew God more.

God gives Spiritual insight to those who love Him, to those who seek Him, to those who are led by the Spirit of God to His Spiritual insight.  Friend, we must not give up on the “work” that God first began in us when He saved us.  He hasn’t.  God Is Still At Work in You & in Me!  The Bible tells us so, and God’s Word never lies!  Never!

So, friend, let us seek God with our mind, body, and strength, for as we do—seek God—we will stay close beside Him, & we will see with our Spiritual Eyesight—How—GOD IS AT WORK!

Have we joined His Work?

“For this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.

But He answered them,  “My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.”

(John 5: 16-17)
