20 Days Remain—-Let Us Be Faithful Witnesses
20 Days Remain.
20 Mornings to arise from bed and praise God.
20 early mornings remaining to bow and pray for the ones we have written onto our prayer lists.
20 lunchtime opportunities to bow our heads in thanksgiving.
20 more days for Sydney’s (February 22) dream to come true.
20 more chances to invite someone to our home, where we can share our dinner table with them.
20. That’s really NOT so many days.
To put this into perspective, just think how fast a twenty-dollar bill goes once broken.
20–19–18–17–16–15–14–13–12–11-10–9—8–7–6–5–4–3–2–1–& then—0 remain.
There are exactly 20 more days left in the year 2021, a year we thought would bring an end to the Coronavirus. Once 2020 ended, we willingly took hope in thinking all would be right with the world (in relation to the Coronavirus and the elections and the unrest we saw in our nation and world). Yet here we sit in 2021 with a mere 20 days remaining, and still, no end seems to be in sight.
Is this a “sign of the times”? Maybe.
Is this prophecy fulfilled? Maybe.
Is this what the prophet Zechariah, Daniel, and the Apostle John spoke of in their Spirit-led biblical writings recorded within God’s Word? Of that, we can be assured because the world has been a mess since the Fall recorded in Genesis 3.
Will GOD fulfill His promises and Come Again? MOST DEFINITELY!!!
Will GOD set up His Kingdom and reign for eternity? MOST ASSUREDLY!!!
Therefore, we have two choices (one decision every person alive must decide):
1. Praise God and all that He has provided as we lift our hands, twirl, sing, dance giving thanks to God for His Amazing Grace that offers us His Salvation.
OR
2. Despair and Cry over the state of our world and our health and our life. Shake our fist at God, upset how our lives have been uprooted and changed. We have the power to cry out in sadness because our “norm” is no longer our “norm.”
The Apostle John records it so well within God’s Word. Read with me.
“What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—-and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us—-what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.
(1 John 1: 1-4)
These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.”
Nevertheless, GOD IS GOOD!!!
Consequently, GOD’S WILL—WILL BE DONE!!!
Henceforth, JESUS WILL COME AGAIN TO REIGN ETERNALLY!!!
Therefore, oftentimes, as we walk through most days, we may hear it spoken that this new way may just be our “New Normal,” but we know our NEWNESS has nothing to do with a virus.
Truly, there is nothing more beautiful than when we—-those who believe and accept Jesus Christ as LORD—stand in awe, sing praises to our King, and thank God for all that He has done and for all that He will yet do.
So, may we hopefully look around our own dinner tables this season of life and see no one missing.
OR, IF WE DO SEE CHAIRS EMPTY—-
May we look at the empty chairs that once held the ones we love, and may we praise God that they were His and that we will see them again in heaven.
20 days from the end of the year—May we look at our worn work clothes (from the past week) and ask ourselves one question—-Who knows more about the Savior of the world—-this day because of our testimony this past week?
Whatever are we working for if not to proclaim God?!!!
Why do we even arise from our beds if not to sing praises to God?!!!
Whomever are we serving if not serving Almighty God?!!!
LORD our hands are lifted up to You—Open-palmed, as Bro. Aron spoke of last Sunday—-Open-palmed to receive YOU.
We give our all to you.
Our Heart.
Our Soul.
Our Mind. &
Our Strength.
As Zephaniah the prophet proclaims—
“The LORD your God is in your midst,
(Zephaniah 3:17)
A victorious warrior.
He will exult over you with joy.
He will be quiet in His love.
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”
LORD, give us boldness and courage, and confidence to speak of Your truth—-To Proclaim God’s Goodness & Salvation.
Thank You for providing us daily work for our hands to do.
- May we look around us to the sea of faces who we will pass today, & May we see them as Lost or Found by You.
- Then, as we worship together at church, may we stand with praise on our lips, with our hands lifted high in adoration to You.
- May we blend our voices together, thankful that we are not separated into numerous homes during our Sunday worship (by Zoom and Facebook).
- May we remain ever thankful that we are gathered together in one place to worship YOU.
20 days remaining in 2021.
We have so much to praise God for. &
We have so much witness to give.
Let us be a joyful witness to the world. . . .
To our Jerusalem,
To our Judea,
To our Samaria, &
To our Uttermost Parts of the world.
