The Enemy Attacks! Do Not Be Afraid! The LORD Goes With Us!
The Enemy.
A term we may fear.
A term that may bring a vivid image to our mind.
Enemies Exist.
Enemies Battle Against Us.
Enemies May Seem to be Powerful.
Enemies Can Take on a Variety of Faces.
We Must Be Aware They Exist (Enemies).
We Must Be Ever Mindful of their Power (Enemies).
We must Never Cease in the Fight Against Them (Our Enemies).
Enemies Exist Because Satan Hates.
Enemies Exist Because Satan’s Only Goal is to Kill & Destroy.
Reflect Upon Our Past & Current & Future Battles.
Should we attempt to fight them within our own might—OR—Should we kneel to pray, asking God to lead us into the battle?
There is a melody that speaks of how we are to approach the battles we face. The melody is “Warrior” by Hannah Kerr, and some of the lyrics go like this—
“I’m a warrior.
I’m a warrior.
I’m a warrior.
I will keep the hope alive.
I will keep the strength inside.
Jesus, make me a warrior.”
Once we accept Christ Jesus as LORD, no longer do we exist alone or fight our battles alone. Yes, that is right. God goes before us and behind us and upon each side of us.
The LORD is our hedge of protection. Even though we may live within the midst of the battle, it is the LORD’S (battle) to fight and ours to dwell safely within His protection.
WHY & HOW can we know?
God is omnipotent and omniscient and omnipresent.
GOD IS ALL-POWERFUL!
GOD IS ALL-KNOWING!
GOD IS ALWAYS PRESENT!
NEVER DO WE WALK (OR FIGHT OUR BATTLES) ALONE!
- Let us be steadfast.
- Let us be immovable.
- Let us always abound.
- Let us be fighters (warriors) standing in the gap, fighting against the devil and his demons who bring attacks against the lost & against the saints.
- Let us be about the LORD’S Work, existing today to do His will.
- Let us follow Jesus as LORD.
- Let us allow Jesus to lead us as LORD.
- Let us Live as we are called to live.
Confident. Anchored. Placing Upon Our Bodies God’s Armor. Secure. Hope-Filled.
Moses knew something about facing enemies and trusting in the LORD.
- Let us read God’s Word.
- Let us be filled with HOPE.
- Let us be Ever Prepared.
- Let us be Fully Trusting.
- Let us be Ever Watchful.
“When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them;
(Deuteronomy 20:1)
For the LORD your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.”
GOD IS WITH US!!!
“When you are approaching the battle, the priest shall come near and speak to the people.
(Deuteronomy 20: 2-4)
He shall say to them, “Hear O Israel, you are approaching the battle against your enemies today.
Do not be fainthearted.
Do not be afraid, or panic, or tremble before them,
For the LORD your God is the One who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”
God Does!
God Goes With Us!
God Fights for Us!
GOD Is GOD Is GOD Is GOD Is GOD Is GOD!!!
Stand Strong in Faith!
God Goes With Us!
Why Should We Ever Be Afraid?
We Should Not (ever be afraid)!
Instead…We Must
Be Prayed Up!
Be Steadfast In God’s Word.
We Must Be Adorned with the Whole Armor of our LORD.
We Must—–Be Ready!
