Freely Receiving That Which We Desire—MOST!
What do we value MOST?
What do we wish for MORE than anything when we arise from our bed?
What do we think of MOST as we lay our head upon the pillow?
What will we pursue MORE than Anything this day, giving all our energy as we seek this one thing?
What do we value MOST?
Truthfully, we do not need to wonder any longer for we DO KNOW the answer deep inside the recesses of our hearts. God (as well) knows that which we seek, that which we value, and that which we want MORE—-Than any other thing!!!
See a small daily scene with me, an image of two shoppers pushing their cart, walking together throughout the store. See the two of them going down one aisle, turning at the end of each aisle, and walking together down the next. See these two shoppers take their time, looking at the merchandise on display, placing items of choice into their cart.
Finally, after they have made all of their selections and placed the items of choice into their carts, they turn toward the checkout line.
They are aware.
They know the truth.
They know the funding may not be sufficient for the items they wish to purchase, but they “hope” they’re able to buy that which they desire MOST!
The clerk begins to scan the couple’s items, as they expectantly watch the register screen.”$34.56,” the clerk announces, but truly, it would not matter what amount she announced because they would
NEVER HAVE ENOUGH TO PURCHASE THAT WHICH THEY DESIRE MOST!!!
THEY NEED A REDEEMER!
THEY NEED A PROVIDER!
THEY NEED A SAVIOR!
THEY NEED THE LOVE OF JESUS!
Immediately, the couple realizes they do not have enough funding to make their purchase, so the man leans over the cart, choosing items to GIVE BACK, knowing that they really need EVERYTHING, but also knowing that their funding is totally insufficient.
“May I pay?” the one standing close by asks.
They look toward the voice.
They hear the words.
They sense the struggle within their being, their moment of decision.
Each one has a CHOICE to make—Receive the stranger’s offer
of grace, of mercy,
of FULL PAYMENT!
OR—Reject the stranger’s offer of payment, leaving the store
with LESS than what they need!
WILL WE FULLY RECEIVE WHAT WE MOST DESIRE & NEED!
GOD’S FREE GIFT of SALVATION!
THE GOSPEL MESSAGE
Life really is about a single choice.
Let’s say we are going to be 100% honest with ourselves this day, &
Let’s say we are going to—100% OWN—that which we value MORE than any other thing in this world.
Then (in our honesty), we will give almost anything to receive that which we want MOST!
For sake of example, consider these items we may have placed into our cart—
Consider if we want MORE—Time?
Then, we will hoard our time, not giving any away, fearing if we give any away, we will never have MORE!
Consider if we want MORE—Energy?
Then, we will not expend much energy, not share any of our God-given energy with anyone but instead hoard the energy we do have, fearing if we share any, we will never receive MORE!
Consider if we want MORE—Money to Buy What We Desire?
Then, we will not share any money with others, fearing that if we share what little money we currently do have inside our pocket, we will never have MORE!
Consider if we want MORE—Knowledge (maybe a college Education)?
Then, we will never leave our job and step inside the admission counselor’s office to pursue MORE education, fearing that we may not have what it takes to receive that which we want MOST!
Consider if we want MORE—Peace?
Then, we will pass through this life hoping we are doing all the right things, doing GOOD, and maybe if there really is a God (a Prince of Peace), then at our death, we will have Done Enough to receive the Peace we internally desire MOST!
Here is the TRUTH!
Here is God’s TRUTH, the ONLY TRUTH that ever matters!
Do not ever believe anything but what the Bible says—God’s Word given to humanity.
“A voice is calling,
(Isaiah 40:3-5)
“Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness;
Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.
Let every valley be lifted up,
And every mountain and hill be made low;
And let the rough ground become plain,
And the rugged terrain a broad valley;
Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed,
And all flesh will see it together;
For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
We cannot ever see or receive that which we want—MORE Than Anything—unless we place our eyes upon the LORD.
We cannot never afford that which we desire—-MORE Than Anything—unless we listen to the calling of the LORD.
We can never receive—Christ Jesus as Savior—
Unless we Accept the Truth that God exists and came to save all people.
Unless we Believe His Existence, Death & Resurrection Already Paid the Cost for Our Soul.
Unless we Confess our Sins & Receive Jesus as our Savior.
We can NEVER receive that which we Desire MORE than Anything & that which we Want MOST & that which we Need MOST of All—-
Apart from God who says, “I have already sent My Son who has paid the total cost. Will you receive this gift of life today?!!!”
“That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as LORD, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
(Romans 10: 9-10)
For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
