The list can go on for days, filled with name after name after name….
We may wonder what these individuals have in common. That’s easy to answer.
Each name represents a teacher, a counselor, an administrator, a coach, a person who felt a calling to teach, to reach out for the youth of the world.
So, IF THE PERSON LISTED above is a BELIEVER and A CHILD of GOD, then this person stepped forward and (in a sense) raised his hand high and said,
“Here am I; Send me!” Then He said, [God said] “Go, and tell this people.” (Isaiah 6:8-9)
Think with me.
Whenever seniors graduate from high school, they have options—University study OR the Workforce OR Military Commitment OR Technical Certification.
Nowhere does the fine print of a university degree (one obtained for the sole calling of serving as an “educator”) list the truth that the work to be accomplished is that of a battleground, a fighting for the very lives of the youth and children taught.
Yet, that’s what truly is listed in the fine print that teachers eagerly and willingly sign when they sign their names on their contracts.
A Battleground.
A Battlefield.
A Wall Surrounding an Encampment, a wall they must breach.
A Fight for the lives of the precious ones given to them to Teach.
Clearly, ask any teacher who felt called to teach, and most will say, “I never dreamed educating the youth would be so difficult. Then the calendar turned to 2020 & Covid-19 & the online platform (in addition to the in-person duties); henceforth comes the battlefield.
What is a teacher to do?
As believers & children of God—What are we to do?
Thankfully those are such easy questions to answer. Do not believe me but believe God’s Holy Word. In the Bible, David was a valiant warrior who knew much about how to win the battles he faced. Read with me.
“Though a host encamp against me,
(Psalm 27:3)
My heart will not fear;
Though war arise against me,
In spite of this I shall be confident.”
And again, on a day when the LORD delivered David from his adversary King Saul, David reminds us—-
“With the kind, You show Yourself kind, with the blameless You show Yourself blameless;
(Psalm 18: 25-36)
With the pure You show Yourself pure, and with the crooked You show Yourself astute.
For You save an afflicted people, but haughty eyes You abase.
For You light my lamp;
The LORD my God illumines my darkness.
For by You I can run upon a troop;
And by my God I can leap over a wall.
As for God, His way is blameless; the Word of the LORD is tried; he is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
For who is God, but the LORD?[!!!]
And who is a rock, except our God, the God who girds me with strength and makes my way blameless?[!!!]
He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me upon my high places.
He trains my hands for battle, so my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand upholds me; and Your gentleness makes me great.
You enlarge my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.”

We who believe and who have accepted God’s free gift of salvation—-
He has reconciled us;
He bore our sins;
He died upon the cross, and He resurrected from the grave three days later;
He made us spiritually alive [Jesus did it all];
His love has been poured out so we might receive the glory of heaven; His love provides the promise of eternity with the Father.
Finally, may we be encouraged on this day by God’s Word.
“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment You will condemn. [God will]
(Isaiah 54:17)
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD.”
May We Be Encouraged Today Through the Spoken Word of Our LORD.
