Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

The Path…for You, for Me, & for All

I am 53 years old.My wonderful, best friend is 39.Two daughters both stand in the year of 22.A great woman and dear friend who loves and serves children is 55.A beautiful friend of mine is 34.And Mom, a wise woman is 76.
Now, all of the above ages could be off (because well, you know, mathematical calculations were involved), but each person listed brings great purpose to this world.
So, let me ask—–Do you know your life purpose?  Maybe we respond to that question with more questions—–How can we know our life purpose? &Can we have only one life purpose? &How can we see the way to go (the path to follow) to reach our life purpose?
Yesterday, I was in search, looking through some photos for the “perfect” path photo.  There were many path photos saved inside my stored images on my phone, some sent from Sydney, some from Marieke, and some photos I took.So I looked at many “good” path photos, and many were “more good” than others. Yet, which path photo is the “best one” and which path photo is the “right one” for me?
Then walks in my husband (the literary poet).   HeHe!!!

This morning, as I was preparing to show him my “favored” path photos, he decided to quote Mr. Frost (you know, the American poet) who wrote about the path in the woods that diverges into two different directions, how the traveler must decide which one to follow. At that point, my husband (the poet reader who quotes Frost) gave me the same advice that Mr. Frost gave to us in his famous poem—-Take the path less traveled. We will surely be better because we did.
The path…..less traveled.The path…..less crowded.
How old are you today? Are you running full throttle in the first 1/3 of your life journey?ORAre you more stationary and strolling along at the second 1/3 section of your life journey? &Maybe you are idling along, barely moving, in the last 1/3 of your life journey. Truly, whether we are——RUNNING, STROLLING, or IDLING, we are each still on our journey.

Which one describes your journey today? And while the speed may be important, the place where we are going is of More Importance & the ONE leading the way there is of Upmost Importance!!!
Do we know where we are going?Do we know who we are following?Do we know our life purpose? We can know (regardless of where we reside in age). How?

We read God’s Word.We meditate upon what God’s Word speaks to our heart and to our being. We listen to God, and then we step forward in faith, knowing that where He (where God) leads us, that direction, that path—–

IS THE RIGHT DIRECTION & THE RIGHT PATH.
Truly, the right path can only be found in following the One who made us, in searching in the correct place, and in worshipping God as we follow Him.
The Apostle had much to say about this topic. In fact, he preached a sermon about it.”So Paul stood in the midst of Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects. For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is LORD of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands, nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things, and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us, for in Him we live and move and exist,…”(Acts 17:22-28).

Did we see that?God exists. BUT…..God does not exist in temples made from man.  BECAUSE…..God made all things, Himself. AND TRULY….We are made by God, and from one man all nations exist.  THAT’S TRUE……AND AS…..We grope along in life, we reach for God, but we don’t really need to reach out too far because God is right here,…..With Us……ANDWhen we accept Him as our Savior and LORD, then God resides within us.
We can find our life purpose for any stage of life. It’s so easy.We search for God.We reach for God.We find God (right here beside us)….. Waiting to take us by the hand and lead us.
So the real question—-What are we waiting for?Let us reach out in faith, allow God to take us by the hand, fully knowing that God is the KNOWN GOD & HE WILL LEAD THE WAY.He will lead us along the right path…..the right one.So, let us Take hold & Follow God’s Leading Today.Maybe we will encounter one another as we travel along today.

I hope I see you there….on that path…..God’s path.
