Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

We Should Be Shouting, Dancing, & Praising!!!

Are We Praying Words & Going Through the Motions?

OR

Are we Praying, Asking Our Petitions & Faithfully Trusting God?!!!

Elijah was just an ordinary man.
Elijah was afraid of King Ahab, but Elijah saw and knew the awesome fear of the LORD—-More.
Elijah knew to call on the LORD, to get down on his knees and pray.
Elijah knew the devil was at work, and the devil was working overtime to win the hearts of people, but Elijah knew the power of God could do so much—-More.
Elijah knew the prayers of the righteous could avail—-Much—-because God was at work.
Do not believe me, but believe God’s Holy Word

“At the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel [Jacob], today let it be known that You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant and I have done all these things at Your word.
Answer me, O LORD, answer me, that this people may know that You, O LORD, are God, and that You have turned their heart back again.”

(1 Kings 18:  36-37)

Do we believe God at His word?
Do we trust God to keep His word?
Do we pray in faith, totally bowing before a most holy God, calling upon His name, His power, and His mercy and grace.
Do We?
Or do we just say we do—
Believe?
Trust?
Have Faith?
Know God?
Bow down before a most Holy God Almighty!!!
Look for the Power of God!!!
Walk today saved by God’s mercy and Amazing Grace, within God’s never-ending LOVE!!!
Rather than focusing upon the world and all its turmoil, let us focus upon God’s goodness, power, and hope.
Rather than impatiently giving up, let us bow and pray & bow and pray & bow and pray & bow and pray & bow and pray & bow and pray &…(REPEAT)!!!

There is a most beautiful melody performed by Mandisa titled “Breakthrough.” May We Listen. Dance. Twirl. Raise our Hands High Above Our Heads. Shout & Praise God.

Our thoughts, our actions, our attitudes, and our daily, on-going walk with God can keep us filled (overflowing, in fact) with JOY as we pray and reside within God’s waiting room.

“For in hope, we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?
But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.”

(Romans 8:25-25)

Jesus is the truth; trust Him.
Jesus saves; trust Him.
God still heals hearts, souls, minds; trust Him.
God’s Word is truth; trust God.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.  The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish —Much.
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.
Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.”

(James 5: 17-18)

Elijah was just a man, a person who believed God at His word.
Elijah climbed a mountain (Mount Carmel), bowed down on his knees, put his face between his knees and trusted God.
Elijah sent his servant to look toward the sea (to look for a rain cloud).
SEVEN TIMES!!!
On the seventh time, the servant said, “Behold, a cloud as small as a man’s hand is coming up from the sea.”(1 Kings 18:44) &
“In a little while the sky grew black with clouds with wind, and there was a heavy shower.”(1 Kings 18:45)

May we Bow & Pray & Pray & Pray & Pray & Pray & Pray & Pray & Pray & Pray &…
May we Trust God to send His Showers of Blessings upon the earth so “that this people may know that You, O LORD, are God, and that You have turned their heart back again.”(1 Kings 18: 37)
