At Just the Right Moment….LOVE Came
There are so many who patiently wait for just the right moment.
There are so many who wait for just the right moment to love.
There are so many who wait for just the right moment to believe.
There are so many who wait for just the right moment to accept love.
There are so many…

And these are just the ones I know—who are waiting for just the right moment…
To Believe. To Love. To Accept Love.
When love comes, when love is recognizable, and when we see can finally SEE—Love—then the moment is magical, magnificent, memorable, and miraculous.
In the Bible, there is a particular life narrative that comes to my mind today when I consider LOVE…&

Waiting to Accept Love—At Just the Right Moment—God’s Moment.
Go with me to a love story found in the Gospel of John 4. The Messiah is traveling, and he becomes weary and thirsty. We see Him resting at noontime beside Jacob’s well, a deep, deep well that has watered men and women and their children and their animals and their crops for generations. Jesus waits there, beside that deep well, waiting for her to come. She comes at noon, just as the Messiah knew she would come.
She was surprised by Jesus’ question.
He was not surprised by her response.
She was skeptical that He (the Messiah) could provide what He offered.
Jesus was Sure, was Exact, and full of the Truth of God…when He spoke to her that day there by the well at lunchtime.
You see, love comes to us unexpectedly but directly.
You see, love comes to us, readily and acceptable, when we look for it, & when we choose to SEE LOVE, sitting right there in front of us.
PURE LOVE—found Only In Jesus.
It is so beautiful.
It is so right.
It is so wonderful.
It is so lovely.
It is so worth the wait.
It is so individually ours, given to us by God Himself through His Only Son, JESUS.
That day, the lady from Samaria could not believe He would speak to her because it was just not done….in that day. There was a distrust, a dislike, and in some cases a hatred between the two areas, causing a separation, a wide vacuum of space, a fear.
Jesus knew this woman even before she walked up to the well that day. She told others about her encounter with Jesus. “Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is it?” (John 4:29).
Jesus knew her well. He knew her past; He knew her present condition; and He also knew her future. The woman was amazed. She had looked for love, so long, but she looked wrong. She looked where True Love could not be found.
That day, she found love—-as she waited for just the right moment.

Jesus Christ offered her a drink that day, not from Jacob’s well, but from the Living Water, a long drink that lasts forevermore.
“Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water [from Jacob’s well] will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.’ “
(John 4:13-14)
She came to draw water that day.
Jesus came to offer her life.
She came to draw water that day.
Jesus came to offer her the Living Water.
She came to draw water that day.
Jesus came to offer her Living Water that would forever quench her thirst.
She came to draw water that day, water that would sustain the man she “thought” offered her love, the man living with her in her house.
Jesus came to offer her the Ultimate Love, the Only Love, the Life-Sustaining, and the Forever Thirst-Quenching Love of Jesus Christ.
We wait for love.
We look for love.
We search for love in so many places.
MAY WE SEE LOVE—TODAY—RIGHT IN FRONT OF US.
That day,
“The woman said to Him [to Jesus], ‘I know that the Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.’
Jesus said to her, ‘I who speak to you am He.’ “ (John 4:25-26)
May we come to the well today.
May we come to the well today—-Thirsty.
May we come to the well today and drink freely from the Living Water Only Jesus Provides, a LOVE Eternal.
John 3:16….”For God so loved the world, [each of us] that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him [that’s us…..we who choose to believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
God loves you.
God loves me.
God sent Jesus, His Son, to us, to save our souls from separation, to save our souls so we may remain with God.
Forever—Eternal Life—Eternity with God.
We will die. Yes, we will. Our days are numbered already. The Bible tells us so.
Our eternal place is a choice each one of us will make. In fact, we are making the choice at this moment.
- Will we believe in the love of God?
- Will we believe in the love of Jesus?
- Will we listen to the love of God’s Holy Spirit stirring deep within us?
- Will we accept God’s offer of the Living Water of His Salvation He offers to us today, a water that will forever quench our thirst?
Choose today to believe in God’s Pure Love.
Choose today and say, “Yes” to the Savior, to Jesus.
