Will We Stretch Out Our Hands?
Hold out your hands.
Stretch them out in front of your body.
Study them.
Really study them—-hard, with diligence.
Look intently at the tops of both hands; look intently at the palms.
See the lines, the callouses, the markings that have come to them over the years.
OUR HANDS: They truly are fascinating instruments attached to the end of our wrists and arms. They are a very necessary appendage that help our lives function so much more efficiently than if we did not have hands. Yes, our lives would be so much more difficult….IF…..our hands were suddenly taken away from us, suddenly lost.
Since we are now searching the uniqueness of our hands, let us consider them (their look, their use, and their purpose).
Consider the contour of our hands. Do hands look all the same or can one family’s hands look different from another family’s because of the difference seen within their DNA?
Or do HANDS (the shape, the length, the breadth) look like hands, all alike…..despite our heritage?
So let’s consider that thought for a moment—-our heritage. We know our heritage is generational, and we know that our “looks” come from our family, but…..What about our hands….&…What about what we do with our hands? Do the actions of our hands change, based upon the family lineage from which we are derived? &
If so, then will the actions of our hands change, become different, whenever we BELONG to another family, a FAMILY different from the one we were first born into when we were first brought into this world, when we are graced with a SECOND BIRTH??!!!!!
If our hands are unique because of our heritage, then consider what we do with our hands–their action and use. Do the actions of our hands alter when our home changes? Yes, can it be true that WHAT we choose to DO with our HANDS directionally changes when our home address becomes NEW??!!!!!
And finally, pause for a moment to consider the purpose of these appendages that have been attached to the end of our wrists. They function with a functionality that amazes other appendages given to us. If we lost our hands, we could re-learn how to write, how to eat, how to dress, and how to live through the use of our feet and toes,….
BUT the efficiency of our lives would be affected greatly.
WHY? Because God placed these useful instruments, attached them at just the exact place upon our bodies, placed in the exact location needed to serve Him, needed to serve others, and needed to serve our own selves. Yes, is it not true, most definitely, our hands are placed in the EXACT & APPROPRIATE PLACE??!!!!!
In the Bible, the inspired Word of God the children of God were led out of slavery and oppression……all by the outstretched HAND.
“Then the LORD said to Moses,…”When Pharaoh does not listen to you, then I will lay My hand on Egypt and bring out My hosts, My people the sons of Israel, from the land of Egypt by great judgments.
(Exodus 7:1-7)
The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the sons of Israel from their midst.”
So Moses and Aaron did it; as the LORD commanded them, thus they did.
Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three, when they spoke to Pharaoh.”

Even though “old” (in the eyes of mankind today), both men, Moses and his brother Aaron became the instruments of God, the hand of God, to help deliver God’s people.
BIRTHED HANDS.
NEW HANDS.
EXACTLY APPROPRIATE PLACED.
It is a truth, at the moment of our second birth, God gives us “new” HANDS, “appropriately placed” HANDS, made in His likeness.
We choose whether we use our brand “new” HANDS to work within God’s will or not.
We choose whether our brand “new” HANDS are too old, too young, too busy, to tired…..TOO WHATEVER….To work (as Moses & Aaron “did it; as the LORD commanded them, thus they did.“). Whether we “choose” to use our HANDS or not for our LORD, we must “realize” that our HANDS are perfectly capable of “DOING” the Will of God.
We choose….EVERY DAY…..How we serve God….How we serve others….&….How we care for those surrounding us….HOW WE USE OUR HANDS.
TRULY, OUR HANDS ARE WONDERFUL INSTRUMENTS OF GOD….THE APPENDAGES, USEFUL TO THE WORLD….WORKING TOGETHER, AS THE BODY OF CHRIST.
AND SO, TRULY, WHAT WE “DO” OR “DO NOT DO” WITH GOD’S WONDERFUL INSTRUMENTS…..OUR HANDS…..IS LEFT COMPLETELY UP TO US.
May we BE the HANDS of GOD….Stretching Out & Reaching Out to those who surround us??!!!!!
