Stopping the chaos…..stopping the storm that rages around us & stopping the storm that rages inside us……..That’s what God can do. That’s what God will do.

Prayer & Faith.

What do they have in common?
Have we ever prayed for something, asking God to take our THIS?
Have we ever prayed, asking God to take care of our THIS?
Have we ever prayed, asking God to change our THIS to become a THAT, to move our THIS from here to there?
Have we ever prayed, knowing that however God moves our THIS to become THAT, then surely God can (and will) make our new THAT (to become) better than our current THIS?

TRUST GOD.
HE LOVES YOU. HE LOVES ME. GOD LOVES ALL OF HIS CREATION……ALL HUMANITY.

The Bible speaks of a man who walked up to Jesus, fell upon his knees before Jesus, and pleaded for the LORD’S mercy. The man had a HUGE THIS he needed God to take care of, to move from Here to There. The man needed relief from his THIS, and he needed that relief…….today.

The man had a son that needed to be cured………the man’s THIS.

Desperation looks differently to all of us because each of us has carried his burden (his THIS) for longer periods, in different ways (than others), and for different reasons.
But there is a truth we must realize—-EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE HAS A “THIS,” A SOMETHING HE STRUGGLES TO CARRY, GOD IS SO MUCH LARGER THAN OUR THIS.”
Today is Today is Today is Today is Today.

Tomorrow or in six months, we may just possibly have a new THIS, a new struggle we will carry, and then we can trust God to carry our THIS…..then…..too.

How?

How can we learn to trust God?

How can we learn to give God our THIS?

How can we trust that He’s got our THIS securely in His hands?…….And then……..

How can we leave our THIS, right there, placed in God’s hands, and walk away, trusting God to carry and to take care of our THIS?

FAITH IS HUGE!!!!!! We Must TRUST GOD. Period……..!!!

Yet, faith is not something that we are just born with. Sure, we are born with the innate desire to know God, but FAITH IS A MUSCLE, and like all muscles, it develops over time and as we exercise it (our faith) more and more. There is an adage that compares our Faith in God & His Amazing Power to the faith that we place upon a chair that holds our body and keeps us from crashing to the floor. Before we Trust the Chair Completely, we must DO SOMETHING; yes, we MUST place our body upon the chair!!!!

Now, sure, we may not just walk up to a chair that we do not yet trust and just flop our body onto the chair. No, we are intelligent beings. We gingerly place a part of our backside onto the edge of the chair, not fully placing ALL of our weight onto the chair. We test the chair’s strength….first.

The same can be true with our Faith and Trust in God.

• Maybe we (unbelievers) do not yet have a relationship with God. &
• Maybe we have been told by others (by Christians) who tell of an amazing God. &
• Maybe we really WANT to trust in this amazing Jehovah, but we’re just not sure if God Is Who He Says He Is.
• How do we overcome this barrier of thought and this mountain of doubt that the devil keeps forefront in our mind?
• We gingerly call out to God, hoping He will hear our cry, and WHEN HE DOES, & HE WILL…..EVERY TIME…..then our Faith takes root at that very second. Then, as we trust God more, our faith grows.

Faith is a Muscle.

Our Faith in God Grows as We Exercise our Faith in God. Our Faith Can Begin ToDay, and it will begin to Grow Day by Day by Day by Day by Day…..

• And then, there are the believers, those who already have a relationship with God. &
• Maybe we have been told by others (by other Christians) who tell of how our amazing God has moved their mountains. &
• Maybe we really WANT to trust in our amazing Jehovah, and we really WANT to give God our THIS, but we’re just not sure if God’s Amazing Power Is Enough to Take Care of Our This.
• Maybe we wonder: Is God Who He Really Says He Is? Is God Able to Move Our Mountain? Will God Even Want to Move Our Mountain for Us?
• How do we (the believers) overcome this barrier of thought & this mountain of doubt that the devil keeps forefront in our mind?
• We call out to God, trusting in God (just as we did when we asked God to become our Savior, to Redeem our soul, & Then, when God hears our cry,……..WHEN HE DOES…..then our Faith grows.

Faith is a Muscle.

Our Faith in God Grows as We Exercise our Faith in God. Day by Day by Day by Day by Day…..

As we trust God more and more and more and more…….our faith grows.

God Loves Everyone!

Even the man who fell on his knees before Jesus on that day way back when.
AND…….the amazing power of GOD…..IS THE AMAZING POWER OF GOD !!!!!!!!

God’s Power Was Amazing…..THEN…..And God’s Power Is Amazing……Now!

Faith is not small.    Nope!!!!
FAITH IS HUGE!!!!!!

This man who knelt down before Jesus recognized that He was kneeling before God.    He knew Jesus was all powerful; the man knew he was kneeling before the Son of God….before God Himself.
This man had tried other things to take care of his THIS.  He was desperate.   He needed a miracle.

Please Jesus…..the man pleaded. Please Jesus, hear my cry.
Still today…….We pray.
We believe that God hears our prayers.
It is a TRUTH…….HE DOES!!!!

Jesus took care of the man’s THIS.  Jesus cured the man’s son….that same day.
When the disciples of Jesus questioned Jesus about the matter of their faith (and their inability to cure the man’s son), we see Jesus’ reply.

Nothing is impossible with God.
Have faith.
He’s got your THIS.
Trust Him.
God’s got our THIS.

There is a melody…..”WaveWalker”  featuring artist Bart Mallard (of the band Citizen Way) that speaks of the power of God.  In the melody, there is a lyric that spoke today of this same topic. The lyric goes like this.
“I will walk by faith because you will make a way.”

Maybe, We have prayed.
Maybe, We have asked God to take care of our THIS.
Now…..Let us have FAITH.
Now…..Let us trust God.
God is the mountain mover. TRULY, GOD CAN MOVE OUR MOUNTAINS!

Let us walk by faith…..because God will make a way. He will BECAUSE GOD ANSWERS PRAYER. Period !!!

• May we trust God today and release our THIS today.
• May we begin today to exercise this muscle we call FAITH.
• May we open our hands as we place our THIS into His Hands, the hands of Almighty God !!!!
  &
• May we stand and watch Almighty God move our mountain from here to there!!!!
  &
• May we praise God…..May we sing “Hallelujah” even while we wait, knowing and trusting and showing our praise and devotion to God as we watch Him move our THIS !!!!!!!!!
