Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

No words will ever fully express the joy we have in Christ Jesus

“For He has satisfied the thirsty soul,
And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.”

(The Psalms 107: 9 NASB)

Israel was redeemed, set free from Egyptian captivity.

“Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary

And gathered from the lands,
From the east and from the west,
From the north and from the south.”

(The Psalms 107: 2-3 NASB)

The children of Israel were led through the midst of the Red Sea, on dry ground, to the other side. They escaped bondage through God’s hand of might. At times disobedient, they wandered in the wilderness for a generation, but God delivered them. They stepped into the Promised Land and received victory over its inhabitants through their obedience to Almighty God.

“They wandered in the wilderness in a desert region;
They did not find a way to an inhabited city.
They were hungry and thirsty;
Their soul fainted within them.
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble;
He delivered them out of their distresses.”

(The Psalms 107: 4-6 NASB)

Like Israel, we have been released from bondage, from slavery to sin’s grip and from the curse of the law.

At the name of Jesus—He has supplied all our needs.

Because of the obedience of Jesus, even to death on the cross—He has given us new life and the permanent indwelling Holy Spirit to guide us, teach and train us, to correct us, and to comfort us. Because we have believed, God is changing us, transforming us into the image of Jesus Christ our Savior. For we were brought out of darkness and into the gracious light of Jesus. Our feet have been set on higher ground, that of His Peace and His Righteousness.

  • Jesus is our Deliverer, our Intercessor, our Advocate, our Redeemer.
  • Jesus is forever the same, available each day, and His love is timeless, so complete.

“He led them also by a straight way,
To go to an inhabited city.
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness,
And for His wonders to the sons of men!
For He has satisfied the thirsty soul,
And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.”

(The Psalms 107: 7-9 NASB)

Might we believe in Jesus, the only Son of God?

No words will ever fully express the joy we have in Christ Jesus.

“Jesus answered them,
“Has it not been written in your Law, ‘I SAID, YOU ARE GODS’?
If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came

(and the Scripture cannot be broken),
do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;
but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.”

(The Gospel According to John 10: 34-38 NASB)
