Let Us Take Time To…….
We are each conceived within our mother’s womb with a certain amount time to live……a certain allotted time to breathe…….“And in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them” (Psalm 139: 16).
Today is one of those days. A single day given to us….allotted to our life account……to live before we lived our first day.
So (possibly) TODAY Might Very Well Be the Day……A Time To…………..
Be Born.
Begin a new, healthy habit.
Visit with a person who is not able to get out of his house.
Bake a delicious treat for a new neighbor.
Give our testimony to an unbeliever.
Stop a bad habit.
Believe Jesus is Who He Says He Is…..To Believe Jesus Died on the Cross & then Resurrected to new life.….To Be Reborn….To Accept Christ Jesus…..To Confess our sins to God.
Share a cup of goodness (coffee or tea) with a good friend.
Kneel down on our knees to pray for others……To Seek God’s Will for Our Day.
Get away for a holiday…..&…..to Travel and to Play with a child.
Study God’s Holy Word.
To love someone.
To hug those we love so tightly, to hug the ones we have not seen is such a long, long time….To whisper, “I love you” as we hug.
To Seek God Each New Day…..To Open (Again) God’s Holy Word, and to Pray as we Study.
Thank God for the children He has given to us.
Pray for another’s need, for her burden, one that has been shared with you.
Praise God for His presence and protection.
Thank God for our spouse……To Thank God for our family…..To Thank God for our EVERYTHING.
Begin exercising to improve our bodies…..God’s vessel that He has entrusted to us.
Study God’s Holy Word…..Again and Again and Again.
To thank God for the parents He has provided during our childhood & To Thank God for our upbringing and for the security and love they provided.
Visit a long-ago acquaintance……..To Visit Our Best Friend.
Begin a new hobby.
Pray for our nation and leaders….&…..To Pray for our pastor(s) who are called to lead us.
Seek God’s direction for this ONE SINGLE DAY He has provided us to live.
Call a long-ago friend…….To catch up……To talk.
Do a good deed…….To Help Another…….To Be Exactly Where God Would Have Us Be….&….To Say Exactly What God Would Have Us Say.
Praise & Thank God for His mercies that are new today….On This Solitary Day.
To Do WHATEVER GOD Leads Us To Do, As We Walk In HIS Will For Our Today…..Yes, For Our Gift of Today.
Truly, there is a time for everything.
Today is this time….And….Today is that time….Then, if we are given Tomorrow (if we are given time to remain alive), THEN we will live to be thankful for that time as well.
BUT, What if tomorrow brings us out of time to live upon this earth?
What if by the end of this one day, we discover that we have used up all of our allotted lifetime?
What if we live no longer and we discover we have not taken time to Know God?
Will we have served others well?
Will we have loved others well?
Will we Have Followed God, our Father…….well?
Will we have walked in total obedience to God’s will?
Will He receive us into heaven, into His presence BECAUSE we sought to know and accept HIM…….Because we chose to walk through this life with HIM?
TODAY……..while it is still called “today,”………THERE Still Is….TIME.
Yes, TIME RIGHT NOW…….
TO KNOW GOD AS OUR SAVIOR…….
YES, WE MUST EACH ONE DECIDE…….
CHOOSE TO BELIEVE IN GOD…….
CHOOSE TO ACCEPT HIS TRUTH…….
CHOOSE TO CONFESS OUR SINS AGAINST A MOST HOLY GOD……
The Bible records the truth…….ALL the Time.
“There is an appointed time for everything.
And there is a time for every event under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
Then we are given a list of twenty-eight things we are given time (God’s Time) to accomplish. Are we using our allotted time well OR are we squandering our time? Do we ask God each morning, every noontime, and every evening what He would have us do with our time? We have right-now time…….and that is all the time we have!!!!!
There is a melody by Anne Wilson titled “My Jesus,” that includes this chorus—-
He makes a way where there ain’t no way/
Rises up from an empty grave/
Ain’t no sinner He can’t save/
Let me tell you about my Jesus/
His love is strong and His grace is free/
And the good news is that I know that He/
Can do what He did for me/
Let me tell you about my Jesus/
And let My Jesus change your life/
Hallelujah/Hallelujah/Hallelujah/
And let My Jesus change your life.
AT THIS VERY SECOND, MAY WE TAKE TIME TO ACCEPT GOD’S AMAZING LOVE & SALVATION.
May we take time right now to know God.
May we use our time well to seek God.
May we give God our time, our talents, our life to do as He wills us to do.
The Apostles of Jesus were sent out into the world, and I remain so thankful they were obedient in their lives to witness, for without their obedience, I may not have given a shared witness or time within my life to know Jesus as my Savior.
“So when they had come together, they were asking Him, “LORD, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom of Israel?”
THERE IS AN TIME TO KNOW GOD…….AND THAT TIME IS RIGHT NOW.
He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;
but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth” (Acts of the Apostles 1: 6-8).
I praise God that He took His time to rescue me, to offer me the only way to know the Father, to die and then to resurrect to new life for me.
Yes, I know there is an appointed time when Jesus will stand up and return again to rapture the children of God.
Yes, I know there is an appointed time for the judgment of God, for we know that ONE DAY, we will be “out of time” to decide what we will do with Jesus.
How do we know?
God does not lie!!!! He promises us of this truth every day we live.
THERE IS A TIME TO KNOW GOD…….AND THAT TIME IS RIGHT NOW.
The psalmist David wrote these words (as inspired by God) so we could take courage (as David did)
“In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge;
God, we thank You for Your Gift of Time.
Let me never be ashamed;
In Your righteousness deliver me.
Incline Your ear to me; rescue me quickly;
Be to me a rock of strength,
A stronghold to save me.
For You are my rock and my fortress;
For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me…(Psalm 31: 1-3).
“My times are in Your hands;…” (Psalm 31:15).
God, You speak and the time is the perfect time. Your Holy Spirit guides our soul. You are totally involved in the details of our lives….Individually……Intimately…..Collectively……We thank and we praise You God for taking Your time to know us….to offer us Your Salvation. May we return a portion of our time today to totally praise You….God.
