May we be reminded
- Do we walk within grief?
- Are we consumed with sadness?
- Deep inside us, do we feel completely broken?
- Has suffering consumed us entirely?
- Does disease ravage our body?
Do we cry out—
“Lord, how long will You look on?
(The Psalms 35: 17 NASB)
Rescue my soul from their ravages,
My only life from the lions.”
God feels our pain & God brings comfort.
- Are our families broken?
- Do the children scatter from place to place seeking protection?
- Is our workplace encased in a difficult situation?
God, are you seeing all this?
God are you on holiday?
- Do you see the hunger & the violence?
- Do you see the pain & the death?
Father, do you see what’s going on here on earth?
Lord, do you hear my cries?
God, do you see how my life crumbles around me in shambles?
Oftentimes, FAITH requires the righteous ones to live, to walk within the space of unanswered prayer. Yet, even then, in that space, God is All-Powerful; & God is Personal; & God still deeply cares about His own.
The Bible tells us so!
“The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous
(The Psalms 34: 15-17 NASB)
And His ears are open to their cry.
The face of the LORD is against evildoers,
To cut off the memory of them from the earth.
The righteous cry, and the LORD hears
And delivers them out of all their troubles.”
When we are discouraged and sad, it may seem that God is far away from us. It may feel as if He has stepped away, that His presence has left us. We cry out, even shouting aloud inside our being: Where are You, God?
The Word of God assures us—God is with us, even when we do not feel as if He is.
- God’s promises remain!
- He is Immanuel; God is with us!
- Jesus tells us so!
May we be reminded. & May we remember. & May we be encouraged.
God is close to us, to Believers.
God is Immanuel; He is with us & His Holy Spirit is Who dwells within us.
So, today, rediscover His assurance.
God is not far away and God is not watching us from a distance.
- He is with us & in us.
- God is closer than a brother.
- We have a friend in Jesus.
God is closer to us, inside us, within us, surrounding us, protecting us, sustaining us, carrying us, and preparing us to bring us home to glory.
May we be reminded. & May we remember. & May we be encouraged.
“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted
(The Psalms 34: 18 NASB)
And saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
