Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

“Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.”

If you know me, then you also know that God has blessed me with a particularly, significant gender in my life.  He has given me—

  • Two uniquely different grandmothers;
  • A strong mother of faith;
  • Two vastly different, yet similar sisters;
  • Beautiful resilient nieces who walk boldly forward along their life-path & their precious daughters, my great-nieces;
  • A beautiful sister-in-law;
  • A mother-in-law who captured my heart;
  • The blessing of a beautiful daughter, a child of God;
  • The blessing of a second daughter, one from another mother and born in a another country;
  • A best friend who walked into my heart in such an amazing way;
  • My best friend’s beautiful red-headed daughter;
  • Ladies who attend church with me each week;
  • Aunts who have immensely affected my life;
  • Ladies who I have met in various places along my path of life;
  • Many female colleagues who support me as I go through life;
  • Young college women from many parts of the world;  &
  • The red-headed lady who faithfully reads my writing each day and lovingly calls out where errors appear.
  • When I consider the importance of each one of these ladies, primarily, I find myself—Grateful for the relationships we share.
  • However, when I consider the eternity of each one of these ladies, quite frankly, I find myself—Fearful they will not all come to KNOW JESUS, for all the females I care deeply about do NOT yet KNOW JESUS PERSONALLY AS THEIR SAVIOR.

As I began to ponder the importance of these, I found myself drawn to certain women found in God’s Word.

  • First to my mind came the woman who suffered with an issue of blood;
  • Followed by the woman who gave Jesus water to drink one day during the heat of the day. &
  • The women who carried the spices to the tomb, who also proclaimed Jesus’ resurrection to the world.

Whether we focus on the women we know or the females found in the Bible who lived long ago, the same truth remains—

It is because of JESUS that we love one another & want to share HIM with the world surrounding us.

“We have seen and testify
that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God,
God abides in him,
and he in God.
We have come to know and
have believed the love which God has for us.
God is love, and
the one
who abides in love abides in God, and
God abides in him.”

(The 1st Letter of John 4: 14-16 NASB)
  • Maybe you have read to this point and find yourself asking:

Do all the beautiful ladies in your life know JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR?

JESUS CHRIST KNOWS THE MANY DAUGHTERS WHO FOLLOW HIM! &

HE ALSO KNOWS THOSE WHO DO NOT YET FOLLOW HIM!

“Soon afterwards,

[after HIS crucifixion, after the burial, & after the resurrection]

He began going around from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God.

[JESUS WENT]

The twelve [apostles] were with Him, and

also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses:

  • Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
  • and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward,
  • and Susanna,
  • and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means.” (The Gospel According to Luke 8: 1-3 NASB)
  • The beautiful message of the Bible is JESUS.   &
  • The story of salvation is what we are called to share with others.

God has gifted us with His beautiful LOVE LETTER—HIS HOLY WORD to carry into this world.

  • So, today, we are challenged to speak JESUS to those ladies GOD has given us to love.
  • And today, we are encouraged to share JESUS with those the FATHER has gifted to us to know.
  • For, today, we know the truth JESUS came to save woman, with all mankind.

“And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years,
came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak;
for she was saying to herself,
If I only touch His garment, I will get well.”

But Jesus turning and seeing her said,
“Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.”

At once the woman was made well.”

(The Gospel According to Matthew 9: 20-22 NASB)

BECAUSE WE KNOW THE TRUTH—

“God is love, and
the one
who abides in love abides in God, and
God abides in him [& her].”

(The 1st Letter of John 4: 16b NASB)
