Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Those who do not believe in HIM are condemned already

God longs for His creation to live in relationship, in fellowship with Him.  This has never changed; this relationship was first established at the creation of humanity in the Garden of Eden.

The LORD, HE is GOD!

  • HE is GOD, and HE is good.
  • HE is the LORD!
  • HE is at work for our good & for HIS glory, even when we cannot see it.

HE said through His servant Moses:

“Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you,
and My soul will not reject you.
I will also walk among you
and
be your God,
and
you shall be My people.”

(Leviticus 26: 11-12 NASB)

These verses speak the Promise of God to the sons of Israel.

He is the LORD GOD, and He has broken the yoke of sin that held them, His people. That burden of sinfulness was one they were born into because they were human.  This captivity held them from conception forward until they chose to follow Him.  No longer were they slaves to a taskmaster but were now His people.  They were free.

I am the LORD your God,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt
so that you would not be their slaves,
and
I broke the bars of your yoke
and
made you walk erect.”

(Leviticus 26: 13 NASB)

This verse explains WHY the Promise of God was possible for the sons of Israel.

Many will exclaim:  “This is the Old Covenant the LORD made with His people Israel, and that is correct.  It was the Old Covenant, but also true is that the old pointed the way to the new.

The New Covenant of the LORD proclaims—

There was the true Light
which,
coming into the world,
enlightens every man.

He was in the world,
and the world was made through Him,
and
the world did not know Him.
He came to His own,
and
those who were His own did not receive Him.

But
as many as received Him,
to them He gave the right to become children of God,
even
to those who believe in His name,
who were born,
not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man,
but of God.”

(The Gospel According to John 1: 9-13 NASB)

He is the LORD GOD!

And

He has broken the yoke of sin that holds us.

The burden of sinfulness we were born into because we are human—this same captivity holds us from our conception forward until we choose, to voluntarily take up our cross and follow Him.  We are now free.

Soon, we will hold our new grandson, and we know this same burden of sin rests upon him, just as it did on each one of us because we are all the same:  we are human.

Thus, as grandparents, we have a duty to instruct him, to teach him the ways of God, to show him through our actions and words, the love of God.  We are to lead him to see God, so when he is old enough, this young man, our grandson, will be able to see the LORD, even when he cannot see JESUS with his physical eyes.

As we have spiritually seen JESUS—

  • We choose to accept Jesus as our Savior.
  • We choose to believe in Him.
  • We choose to confess our sins, as we confess Him as our Lord.

No longer are we a slave to sin but a bondservant to Him.

However, the Bible speaks of the others, of those who choose not to accept, not to believe, and who choose not to accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

HE said through His bondservant, the apostle Paul:

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness
of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
because that which is known about God is evident within them;
for God made it evident to them.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes,
His eternal power
and
divine nature,
have been clearly seen,
being
understood through what has been made,
so that
they are without excuse.”

(The Letter of Paul to the Romans 1: 18-20 NASB)

Just this weekend, I received a photo of the majestic sunset the LORD has created.  In fact, I received the photo not once but twice and from two different individuals.  As this occurred, I was reminded how God’s amazing creation speaks to us:  to both those who have chosen to Believe, as well as to those who are choosing to NOT believe.

The Bible is crystal clear!

Those who do not believe in HIM are condemned already.

The LORD gave HIS vision to His bondservant, the apostle John:

“Then the seventh angel sounded;
and there were loud voices in heaven, saying,
“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and His Christ;
and He will reign forever and ever.”
. . .
“And the nations were enraged,
and
Your wrath came,
and
the time came for the dead to be judged,
and
the time to reward Your bond-servants
the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name,
the small and the great,
and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

(The Revelation to John 11: 15 & 18 NASB)

The LORD, HE is GOD!

  • HE is GOD, and HE is good.
  • HE is the LORD!
  • HE is at work for our good & for HIS glory, even when we cannot see it.

May we witness & testify to those who do not know Jesus as their Savior.
