We want so much in life.

We want…..
A good job…..one of our choosing.
A loving spouse…..one who loves us more than himself.
A pretty house…..one nicer than the house down the street.
A host of relationships……ones filled with people who are happy to do whatever we desire to do.
A healthy body……one that can remain healthy despite what we eat or what we do.
A deep understanding of the Bible…..one that does not require time spent with the Author, nor any study outside weekly, Sunday worship.
A long life…..one that lasts until we say we are ready to die.
An education……one that affords us life choices but one that doesn’t require work to obtain.

In Life…..We Want So Much.

SO, we go about obtaining—-

• A JOB,
• A SPOUSE,
• A HOUSE,
• A HOST of RELATIONSHIPS,
• A HEALTHY BODY,
• A CHURCH MEMBERSHIP,
• A LIFE, &
• AN EDUCATION. 

Then once we have acquired all that we desire, we go about living our self-obtained life, wondering why we lack JOY.  We have all the elements of a “happy life,” but still, we are not happy….inside.
To the world, we look the part—HAPPY—But, we know the truth.

We know the surface happiness we feel, and we know the void of joy we endure.  Everyone looking from the outside in desires what we have (what they think we have based on what they see), but we know the truth, and our heart exclaims, ” If they only knew the truth.”

• So we continue living…….Pretending We Have All That We Want.
• We play the part.
• We act the right way.
• We say the right things.
• We go to the right places.
• We do the right things.
• We surround ourselves with the right people. &
• We obtain the right memberships and life-toys.

BUT, WE KNOW THE TRUTH.
BUT, WE KNOW OUR HAPPINESS IS JUST SURFACE-DEEP.
AND, WE KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT FULLY “HAPPY.”
AND, WE KNOW SOMETHING IS MISSING. 
BECAUSE…..WE HAVE HEARD OTHERS SPEAK ABOUT THE ONE WHO CHANGES EVERYTHING. 
BECAUSE…..DEEP DOWN….WE REALIZE WHAT IS MISSING…..WHAT WE MOST NEED.
BECAUSE…..WE WANT WHAT MONEY CANNOT BUY.

“The LORD is my Shepherd,
I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).

Today is a most beautiful day to accept what we most desire.
Today is a most blessed day to cease in our pursuit of “WANTING”  things this life affords, &
Today is a wonderful day to pursue THE ONE who changes everything. 
Today is a most holy day to kneel at the cross of Jesus and ask Him to be our LORD.
Today is a most important day of our life…….A Day to accept the Great Shepherd as our Savior. 
IT IS THEN…….& Only THEN……..We Will Have What We Most Need & We Will No Longer Want.
