Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Today, May “you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory”

Praise the LORD!
How blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
Who greatly delights in His commandments.”

(Psalm 112: 1 NASB)

From the moment He created us and placed us inside our mother’s womb, God has been pursuing us, seeking after us, knocking on our heart’s door, & loving us so much.  God wanted us to know Him in a relationship, one so intimate that we could whisper any fear, cry all our tears, wail in mourning when grief comes, & speak of His goodness with those who do not know God.

Praise the LORD! . . .”

GOD REALLY IS THAT GOOD!

“His descendants will be mighty on the earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches are in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
Light arises in the darkness for the upright;
He is gracious and compassionate and righteous.
It is well with a man who is gracious and lends;
He will maintain his cause in judgment.
For he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be remembered forever.”

 (Psalm 112: 2-6 NASB)

Reverend Billy Graham said—

“Don’t be bound by the past and its failures, but don’t forget its lessons either.”

The past is the past.

Praise the LORD! . . .”

Our past sin record has been wiped clean.

Praise the LORD! . . .”

The LORD has placed our sins from as far as the east is from the west.  The Bible says so!

Praise the LORD! . . .”

Our Father has forgiven & forgotten our sin committed against Him.

Praise the LORD! . . .”

Thank God, the past is the past.

Thank You, LORD, a future awaits—for all who accept, believe in Jesus, & confess Him as Savior & Lord.

Praise the LORD! . . .”

God’s Word is perfect, sure, truthful, and right!

We can each stand in confident proclamation and say:  “Nothing separates me from my Savior.”

Praise the LORD! . . .”

“He will not fear evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is upheld, he will not fear,
Until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries.”

(Psalm 112: 7-8 NASB)

Our Father, He made the only way & He brought us out of the wilderness, out of the darkness, and made us His child.

Praise the LORD! . . .”

  • We can stand with confidence, knowing the Gospel has & will stand the test of time.
  • We can stand with the assurance that God’s Word is Truth!
  • We can face in the power of His Holy Spirit, any who oppress us for our declaration of faith.

Consider our attitude we hold when we face persecution for the Gospel message.

  • Are we holding strong, thankful that the LORD allows us to suffer in His will?

—OR—

  • Are we running afraid, complaining of the way the world persecutes us because of our faith?

“He has given freely to the poor,
His righteousness endures forever;
His horn will be exalted in honor.

The wicked will see it and be vexed,
He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
The desire of the wicked will perish.

Praise the LORD!
Praise, O servants of the LORD,
Praise the name of the LORD.
Blessed be the name of the LORD

From this time forth and forever.
From the rising of the sun to its setting
The name of the LORD is to be praised.
The LORD is high above all nations;
His glory is above the heavens.”

(Psalm 112: 9-10 & 113: 1-4 NASB)

“If I Got Jesus (I Got It All)” by Ben Fuller sings the Gospel truth.

Please pause to listen, to dance, to twirl, to “Praise the LORD!”—today & then every tomorrow that transpires until the day God brings us home to heaven.

Though we do not see God with our physical eyes, still we see him through our faith.

  • We love Him.
  • We believe Him.
  • We rejoice in Him.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away,
reserved in heaven for you,
who are protected by the power of God through faith

for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
In this you greatly rejoice,
even though now for a little while,
if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials,
so that the proof of your faith,
being more precious than gold which is perishable,
even though tested by fire,
may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

and though you have not seen Him,
you love Him,
and though you do not see Him now,
but believe in Him,

you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.”

(The 1st Letter of Peter 1: 3-9 NASB)
