A walk through life toward eternity

The Accuracy:  “The Inscription of the charge against Him”

“It was the third hour when they crucified Him.
The inscription of the charge against Him read,
“THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

(The Gospel According to MARK 15: 25-26 NASB)

How have you personally experienced Jesus’ work in your life?

This is a simple question, one easily answered.

Maybe we have read this question and wondered:

What is it that Jesus did so that we would want to personally know Him as our Savior?

Thank goodness, we are never lost in our searching, nor never left with our questions.

The Word of God is crystal-clear!

“Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
who, although He existed in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
but emptied Himself,
taking the form of a bond-servant,
and being made in the likeness of men.
Being found in appearance as a man,
He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death,
even death on a cross.
For this reason also,
God highly exalted Him,
and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW,
of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.”

(The Letter of Paul to the Philippians 2: 5-11 NASB)

Can we imagine it? !!!

JESUS CHRIST, THE MESSIAH—“He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, . . .”

&

Because He is the KING of kings, JESUS CHRIST, THE SAVIOR—exchanged his Kingly garments for a brief time for the clothing of a beggar to be—“made in the likeness of men.”

&

Since He is the LORD of lords, CHRIST JESUS, THE REDEEMER—“He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”

THEREFORE,

As every single human being experiences a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, a calling to believe, an opportunity to accept Jesus as Savior—then each one of us have faced a decision, a choice to make—BELIEVE JESUS—or—DENY JESUS.

If a person has denied JESUS, then the Bible is clear about that person’s end.

“But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murders and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars,
their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone,
which is the second death.”

(The Revelation to John 21: 8 NASB)

However, if a person has accepted JESUS, then the Bible is also clear about that person’s end.

“And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain,
and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem,
coming down out of heaven from God,
having the glory of God.
Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper.
. . .
In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed;
and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it;
and nothing unclean,
and no one who practices abomination and lying,
shall ever come into it,
but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

(The Revelation to John 21: 10-11 & 25-27 NASB)

This current world where we walk, it can often be a difficult place to walk.  As BELIEVERS, when we find ourselves struggling to live-out our faith in Jesus, living in a world filled with turmoil and unfaithfulness, not knowing up from down amid the chaos—Then May We Cling to the Accuracy posted high upon Calvary’s cross:

 “The inscription of the charge against Him read,

“THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

JESUS—The Accuracy has never changed!

JESUS—The Truth has never changed!

JESUS—The Faithfulness of our Father has never changed!

JESUS IS THE LORD of lords!

JESUS IS THE KING of kings!

JESUS IS THE ONE WHO IS CALLED FAITHFUL & TRUE, WHO STANDS ALONE!

To illustrate how we are to “Be Like Christ,” if we have ever tossed a rock into a pond, then we have experienced the ‘ripple’ effect.

One stone plunging through the surface of the water—changes everything!

That single stone causes wave upon wave to ‘ripple’ across the pond.

The same ‘ripple’ effect occurs when we talk with others about Jesus because sharing Jesus always causes waves!  In fact, when Jesus was crucified upon the cross, making THE WAY TO KNOW GOD THROUGH BELIEF IN HIM, IN JESUS:  “The inscription of the charge against Him” caused ‘ripples’ across the world.

The Truth, The Accuracy of Jesus still does!

So, at times, our conversations may seem messy, but it is because the Holy Spirit cannot be restrained.  There is no possible way for man-made boundaries to stop the Gospel message from ‘rippling’ and ‘changing’ people’s hearts.

JESUS HIMSELF SAID SO WHEN HE COMMISSIONED HIS DISCIPLES!

“And He said to them,

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved;

but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

These signs will accompany those who have believed:  in My name

  • they will cast out demons,
  • they will speak with new tongues;
  • they will pick up serpents, and
  • if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them;
  • they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them,

He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

And they went out and preached everywhere,

while the Lord worked with them,

and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.”

(The Gospel According to Mark 16: 15-20 NASB)
