“Faithful and True”—He Promises to Stand & Return One Day Soon!
“And I saw heaven opened,
(The Revelation to John 19: 11 NASB)
and behold,
a white horse,
and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness He judges and wages war.”
- What brings us anxiety within today—Read the Bible.
- What causes us sleeplessness—Read the Holy Word of God.
- What makes us pace the floor and wring our hands—Read & Meditate upon the Scriptures.
When we find ourselves struggling as we walk through this world &
When we see the world filled with turmoil and unfaithfulness &
As we see people not knowing right from wrong, living in pure chaos—
Let us look up continually, watching and waiting and faithfully and obediently LIVING FOR JESUS!
JESUS IS COMING!
The REDEEMER & SAVIOR IS COMING!
CHRIST JESUS IS COMING!
The LORD of lords IS COMING!
The KING of kings IS COMING!
FAITHFUL and TRUE IS COMING!
It is a fact because the Bible says it is so!
Early this morning, I received a message, and within the words sent, a question came. “April 8th is going to be a very special day it seems. Are you gonna watch?” This question came from a lovely lady whose birth-date just happens to be celebrated on that day (you guessed it—APRIL 8th).
During this twenty-fourth year of 2,000, we have experienced & we will experience so much.
- 2024—Cicada—the Largest Manifestation in Centuries!
- 2024—Solar Eclipse—the Next Projected One 2044!
- 2024—Data Breach—the largest amount of personal data ever lost!
- 2024—The Strongest Earthquake in a quarter-century!
These are just a few of the LARGE occurrences that come to mind as I write. As we walk through Eastertide—the time between Easter and Pentecost—between the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and the ascension of Jesus back to heaven & the coming of the promised Holy Spirit, I could not help but think of Jesus’ Second Coming.
Therefore, as I sat in the darkness of the morning, pondering how to respond to the question. Was I going to watch?
Was I going to see the event that would bring complete darkness, the totality of darkness, when the moon blocks out the fullness of the sun—the Solar Eclipse of 2024?
YES!
YES, I WAS & YES, I AM!
- This will require leaving the tasks of the day that need to be accomplished.
- This will ask me to spend hard-earned money to pay the cost.
- This will make me move far away from my home. &
- This will be an event I do not wish to miss.
Immediately, I was reminded of the cross of Calvary. When Jesus was hanged upon the cross, the Bible tells us that at the ninth hour, complete darkness covered the earth as Jesus Christ took upon Himself the sins of mankind. The veil of the temple was rent into two separate pieces giving us direct access to pray directly to Almighty God through our Great High Priest Jesus.
As I sat there pondering how to respond to this beautiful lady, I knew that a reply needed to be based upon the biblical truth of God—
- the fact that God sent His only begotten Son,
- that Jesus came to die, that Jesus did in fact—die &
- that Jesus was raised from death to new life.
Jesus Christ—everything we say, write, speak, do, or think—the quintessence of who we are as Christians!
- One day soon, we will “see heaven opened.”
- One day soon, we will “behold, a white horse.”
- One day soon, we will see Him, “He who sat on it” [the horse].
- One day soon, we will see Him, “He who sat on it is called Faithful and True.”
One day we will see Jesus coming in the clouds!
It is a fact!
It is the truth!
- Who do we know who is not ready for this day?
- What are we being led by the Holy Spirit to do about that fact (that this person is not ready)?
- When will we get serious about sharing Jesus?
- Where will the Spirit lead us today?
- To whom will He lead us to witness on this day?
- How are we to go if we are not reading and meditating upon God’s Word daily? !!!
- Why are we not more prepared when so many are not yet ready to SEE JESUS? !!!
“Beloved, let us love one another,
(The First Letter of John 4: 7-10 NASB)
for love is from God;
and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
The one who does not love does not know God,
for God is love.
By this the love of God was manifested in us,
that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world
so that we might live through Him.
In this is love,
not that we loved God,
but that He loved us
and sent His Son
to be the propitiation
[the covering through Jesus’ precious blood]
for our sins.”
