Be Audacious in Our Faith
One of the most effective ways to hear the Holy Spirit is to focus on God’s Word. So, I wonder, are we in the Word of God as we should be? Are we creating SPACE daily for intimate time with our Father? Are we preparing our minds, our souls, ourselves to face the world, the stresses, the struggles, and the people we will encounter today?
“On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
(John 12: 12-13 NASB)
took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout,
“Hosanna!
BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel.”
- This “next day” was six days before the Passover, when Jesus came first to Bethany where Lazarus lived with his sisters Mary and Martha.
- This “next day” was the day after Jesus shared dinner with those whom He loved, reclining at their table at their home in Bethany.
- This “next day” was after the day Mary took an alabaster jar filled with costly perfume and anointed Jesus’ feet, preparing Jesus’ body for His death, even though she did not fully realize how symbolic her boldness was “that day.’
- This “next day” was the day when Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus’ very own, set out to betray the Savior.
- This “next day” was the day after the large crowd of Jews came to Lazarus’ house in Bethany, not to pay homage to the KING of kings but to seek a way to put to death Jesus Christ & also this man Lazarus whom Jesus raised to new life.
This was now the time—THE DAY—when the followers of Jesus were called to BE AUDACIOUS in their actions, in their Faith.
“On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout,
“Hosanna!
BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel.”
(John 12: 12-13 NASB)

“Thus says the LORD,
(Isaiah 43: 16-21 NASB)
Who makes a way through the sea
And a path through the mighty waters,
Who brings forth the chariot and the horse,
The army and the mighty man
(They will lie down together and not rise again;
They have been quenched and extinguished like a wick):
“Do not call to mind the former things,
Or ponder things of the past.
Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.
The beasts of the field will glorify Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I have given waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My chosen people.
The people whom I formed for Myself
Will declare My praise.”
