Two Positions of Thought
SATAN IS A LIAR!
Let me say that again: Satan—he is the epitome of lies & deception!
BUT GOD IS THE FATHER OF TRUTH!
Let me say that again: ALMIGHTY GOD—HE IS THE ONLY HOPE!
There are these types of people:
- Those who closely follow the Lord Jesus Christ & seek Him daily in obedience.
- Those who say they do but whose actions & words prove they don’t really fully follow the Lord Jesus Christ at His Word.
- Those who are completely lost & headed to eternal separation.
Let me explain through the Word of God. JESUS CHRIST, THE SAVIOR tells us:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; . . .”
(John 10: 10a NASB)
- The thief has a name: Lucifer
- The thief has a name: Beelzebub
- The thief has a name: Devil
- The thief has a name: Deceiver
- The thief has a name: Father of Lies
- The thief has a name: Untruth Giver
- The thief has a name: Destroyer of People’s Lives
- The thief has a name: SATAN
BUT ALMIGHTY GOD!
“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
(John 10: 10b NASB)
- God has a name: The Great I AM!
- God has a name: Jehovah Jireh!
- God has a name: The Sustainer!
- God has a name: The Promise-Keeper!
- God has a name: The Good Shepherd!
- God has a name: The Husbandman!
- God has a name: Creator!
- God has a name: Father!
- God has a name: Savior!
- God has a name: Redeemer!
- God has a name: Jesus Christ!
- God has a name: The Holy Spirit!
Truly, the LORD has a name, and we who claim to know Him must walk completely within His will & not just claim we do!
There are Two Positions of Thought within this world: SEEK GOD or DO NOT!
- Yes, there are Two Positions for Every Single Person to Choose, BUT ONLY ONE Eternal Destiny of REST!
- There is ONLY ONE fulfilling faith!
Following Jesus gives us life!

Following the Lord gives us an overcoming JOY-filled life!
“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10: 10b NASB)
In reading God’s Word about King Solomon and all his power, wealth, property, prosperity, & the gift of wisdom, we see how he took his eyes off God and allowed himself to follow worldly pleasures, personal desires, and everything that was anything but godly-living.
In reading the Bible, we see how King David (Solomon’s dad) was not perfect at all, we find how God led Solomon’s father to strive.
“For my eyes are toward You, O GOD, the Lord;
(Psalm 141: 8-10 NASB)
In You I take refuge; do not leave me defenseless.
Keep me from the jaws of the trap which they have set for me,
And from the snares of those who do iniquity.
Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
While I pass by safely.”
We live in a really difficult world. As this week has progressed, I am finding this true more & more. Take for example:
- A person caught in an addictive lifestyle.
- A person caught in the hype of social media “likes.”
- A person trapped in SATAN’S LIES about his sexuality.
- A person trapped by the FATHER of LIES!
- A person trapped in his own pleasures and desires.
- A person lost and facing the eternal consequences.
- A person trapped in the DEVIL’S lies about his true identity.
- A person lost and filled with hopelessness and despair.
- A person lost and weighed down with the stress of busyness.
- A person walking a path surrounded by people & yet totally alone.
- A person whose life is filled with laughing, “surface-happy” yet so lonely.
- A person walking a path of destruction & walking all alone.
- A person walking a path of destruction & trying to fill his life with tons of “fun” to do.
- A person walking through each day but walking in death.
- Yes, a dead person walking away from GOD!
- A person walking through each day but unable to see his lostness.
- A person walking a path without HOPE!
There are Two Positions of Thought—BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY THAT LEADS TO GOD!
Almighty God, in all His Majesty, offers PEACE, MERCY, GRACE, & ETERNAL SABBATH REST!
As God’s Ambassadors, it is tasked to God’s children to point the way, sow the seed, & lead people to see God’s offer of eternal salvation found only through His Son Jesus Christ.
The apostle Paul shared how the redeemed children of the KING of Kings are to live within his letter written to those Christians living in Rome.
“Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves.
(Romans 15: 1-9 NASB)
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written,
“THE REPROACHES OF THOSE WHO REPROACHED YOU FELL ON ME.”
For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,
so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.
For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers,
and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy; as it is written,
“THEREFORE I WILL GIVE PRAISE TO YOU
AMONG THE GENTILES,
AND I WILL SING TO YOUR NAME.”
Those who have received the salvation God offers are to go into the lost & dying world—
- We have been called & commissioned to impact the lost.
- We are called to pray for our brothers & sisters-in-Christ.
- We are to walk with the family of God, edifying them as we go.
- We are to remember that we are to love those who sin differently than we do.
- We are to never forget: We are Sinners—Saved by God’s Amazing Grace!
- We are to follow our Lord Jesus Christ as we obey the Holy Spirit of God.
- We are told to go & to make disciples to those who don’t even realize they are lost.
- We are given the command to be the hands & feet of Jesus.
- We are to walk in obedience to God, even when the world laughs at us.
- We are to follow Jesus, even when the world truly does not understand our faithfulness.
- We are to walk in courage & in boldness that only comes from the LORD.
- We are to shine the light of JESUS in this dark world of people who have been lied to by SATAN, the Father of Lies!
Some claim to believe—those who closely follow the Lord Jesus Christ & those who “say they do” but don’t really fully follow the Lord Jesus Christ at His Word because of Satan’s lies.
MAY WE NOT LIVE—DECEIVED!
Someday, as Mandisa sings, we will reach heaven, and when we do, we will see JESUS & we will “worship You, our God—Face 2 Face.”
