We Are Called to Be . . .
Do we have a birth certificate?
If so, we are born for a purpose: to worship the LORD.
Do we have a driver’s license?
If so, we are trained for purpose: to drive, to serve as the hands & feet of JESUS.
Do we have a passport?
If so, we are gifted for a purpose: to engage others in Gospel conversations about the SAVIOR.
Do we have a job?
If so, we are funded for a purpose: to use our gift of money to point others to the REDEEMER.
Do we have breath in our lungs?
If so, we are breathing for a purpose: to call out to others about the love of GOD.
Have we received God’s saving grace?
If so, we are commissioned for a purpose: to go, to make disciples of the nations.
Have we received the Holy Spirit of God?
If so, we are empowered by Almighty God; we are sent by JESUS.
The doors were shut & locked because the disciples feared they would be next.
The Lord Jesus had arisen from the grave & He had already been seen by the women.
The women had proclaimed Jesus’ resurrection & now Jesus permeated through the locked doors to stand in the midst of the disciples.
The Lord had spoken: “Peace be with you.” (John 20: 19b NASB)
“And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side.
(John 20: 20-22 NASB)
The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
Be an ambassador for Christ!
- Despite our age.
Be an ambassador for Jesus!
- Despite our level of education.
Be an ambassador for the Messiah!
- Despite our fears.
Be an ambassador for the Redeemer!
- Despite our stage in life.
Be an ambassador for the Lord!
- Despite what the world of people surrounding us may say.
Be an ambassador, for there are so many perishing who desperately need the Savior!
“So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
(John 20: 21 NASB)
