May We Position Ourselves to be Used by God
“Behold, all souls are Mine;
(Ezekiel 18: 4-5 & 9 NASB)
the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine.
The soul who sins will die.
But if a man is righteous and practices justice and righteousness, . . .
if he walks in My statues and keeps My ordinances so as to deal faithfully—he is righteous and will certainly live,” declares the Lord GOD.”
Consider these truths of God:
- Our relationship with God is secure.
- Our relationship with God will never change.
- Our relationship with God cannot be affected by anything mankind says or does.
God is always at work!
- God is always at work to bring about His good.
- God is always at work to bring, to carry out His perfect will.
One day—
- We will receive resurrected bodies.
- We will dwell within God’s presence forever.
- We are co-heirs with Jesus.
We may feel totally and completely inadequate, but God uses us despite our inadequacy. God instructs us to position ourselves to win the battles of this life—in His power.
- Our job is to SHOW-UP.
- Our job is to STAND-UP.
- Our job is to BE AVAILABLE.
- Our job is to OBEY GOD’S CALL ON OUR LIVES.
- Our job is to LIVE RELIANT UPON OUR FATHER!
- Our job is to TRUST GOD!
- Our job is to LET GO of our wants, our desires, & our agendas.
As we do, as we position ourselves within God’s will, HE SHOWS HIS STRENGTH TO THE WATCHING WORLD!
So, the question becomes: Are we doing our part?
- Are we positioning ourselves where we can be used by God?
- Are we positioning ourselves down upon our knees?
- Are we positioning ourselves to see God’s victory?
- Are we positioning ourselves within God’s will for our days & our lives?
- Are we positioning ourselves so others see Jesus alive and living within us?
Are we?
- God promises—to fight for us when Satan’s darts come!
- God promises—to meet our needs!
- God promises—to never leave us!
- God promises—to never turn away from us!
- God promises—He is with us—always!
God promises! & GOD IS THE PROMISE-KEEPER!
There is a melody sung by Casting Crowns that speaks to this truth—“The Power of the Cross.” Take out your earbuds & listen with me as we Praise God for His Amazing Gift!
Years ago, there was a time in history when the king of Judah was facing three roaring armies coming directly toward Jerusalem. So, King Jehoshaphat did all that he knew to do—he prayed—calling out to the LORD, and the king of Judah did this where those watching could see his faith in the LORD.
May We Position Ourselves to be Used by God.
“Then Jehoshaphat [the king of Judah] stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD in front of the new courtyard;
(2 Chronicles 20: 5-6 NASB)
and he said, “LORD, God of our fathers, are You not God in the heavens? And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You.”
On that day, the people obeyed God.
They did not fear.
They did not walk in anxiety. &
They knew the battle was not theirs but God’s.
“You need not fight in this battle; take your position, stand and watch the salvation of the LORD in your behalf, Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be dismayed;
(2 Chronicles 20: 17 NASB)
tomorrow, go out to face them, for the LORD is with you.”
They arose from their beds the next day and went down toward the battle. At the end of the valley (there in the wilderness), they obeyed the LORD & they watched as the LORD fought the battle before their eyes.
Whether we face—
- On-going health issues.
- Addictions that plague us.
- Sin that makes us stumble.
- Unbelief in those we love.
God is saying—He can do it in His strength.
- When scared—Keep Your Eyes on God!
- When powerless—Remember God Will Fight for You!
- When the world watches &
- Even when they can’t see from where our help comes—Rely On God!
Then, as victory comes—Praise the LORD!
- When victory comes—Praise the LORD!
- When God brings victory in Him—Praise the LORD!
- Therefore, when victory comes because we have placed our trust in Him—Praise the LORD, again & again & again! (. . .)
THE BEST PLACE TO BE—IS WHERE WE CAN BE USED BY GOD!
THE BEST PLACE TO BE—IS IN COMPLETE DEPENDENCE ON GOD!
“Our God, will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude that is coming against us, nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”
(2 Chronicles 20: 12 NASB)
