Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Not in part but FULLY FORGIVEN!

The LORD said—

“Behold, the days are coming,”
declares the LORD,
“When I will raise up for David a
righteous Branch;
And He will reign as king and act
wisely
And do justice and righteousness in
the land.”
“In His days, Judah will be saved,
And Israel will dwell securely;
And this is His name by which He
will be called,
The LORD our righteousness.”

(Jeremiah 23: 5-6 NASB)

This morning, I arose earlier than early.  Although I have my reasons, one opportunity this early arising is that I had time to bake bread for my husband.  Three loaves.  As I sit to write these words, I have just finished the final step:  Pull them from the oven, Brush the tops with melted butter, & Individually wrap in aluminum foil so all the butter can seep deep within the loaves.  In this simple act of love for my husband, I was reminded of the “Bread of Life—Jesus Christ” and what He came to earth to do for us.

  • The day came—when God sent His Son, a direct descendant of King David.
  • The day came—when God raised up His Son, “a righteous Branch.”

God the Father loves us, & because God loves His creation, He sent His Only Son to redeem us.  Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross paid the penalty for our sins, not just some of our sins (not just a small part of them but)—ALL 100% of our being!

God the Father saves all who believe in the redemption & resurrection of Jesus, His Son!

  • The day is coming—when Jesus will come again to earth!

“And He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.”

  • The day is coming!  Father God said so!

My entire life, I have heard this phrase:  Right now, we know God in part, but one day, we will know Him fully.  That day is coming!  Once we have given our hearts to Jesus, God fills us completely with His Holy Spirit (not just a small part of our being) but 100% of ALL of our being!

  • Before Jesus was crucified upon the cross, He prepared His disciples.
  • Before Jesus was betrayed and arrested, He gave His disciples life-markers to remind His disciples.
  • The day is coming—when Jesus will come again to earth!

Jesus Christ the Messiah said—

“There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,
men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory.
But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

(Luke 21: 25-28 NASB)
  • Thank You God for loving us so much!
  • Thank You God for sending Your Son!

“Give us this day our daily bread.” (Matthew 6: 11 NASB)

  • Thank You God for providing for our daily needs.
  • Thank You God for Your eternal forgiveness of sins.
  • Thank You God for leading us out of our temptation.
  • Thank You God for making it possible to walk in fellowship with You though this life.
  • Thank You God for delivering us from the evil one.
  • Thank You LORD for preparing our eternal resting place.
  • It is a truth;  Heaven is for real!
  • It is a truth;  we will see Jesus, our righteous King of kings!

[“For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.”] (Matthew 6: 13b NASB)

When we see Jesus returning to earth, we are to “straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21: 28 NASB)

Hallelujah!

We are NOT forgiven in part but FULLY FORGIVEN!
