God Sets Boundary Lines in Our Lives
Like many, if not most, it is clear that we live within a world of chaos, where we exchange one thing for another, something beautiful for something else quite ugly. In reading the Word that God gave us through the Apostle Paul’s letter to the believers living in Rome, we find:
“Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
(Romans 1: 22-23 NASB)
and they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible mankind, of birds, four-footed animals, and crawling creatures.”
Scripture tells us with clarity where we find God!
We know the TRUTH!
“because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
(Romans 1: 19-20 NASB)
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are with out excuse.”
God did not haphazardly create!
- God did not create anything or anyone without thoughtful consideration of His Purpose!
- God did not create mankind “wishfully” desiring that we would see Him & His Goodness!
NO!
- God was purposeful: Our minds, Our thoughts, Our inward being, Our desires, Our heart is continually turned toward Him because GOD KNEW WE NEEDED HIM!
“For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened. . . .
(Romans 1: 21 & 25 NASB)
For they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”
There is a response, an answer to all the world’s chaos, and HE HAS A NAME: JESUS!
- He is superior to human righteousness!
- He is superior to human wisdom!
- His Gospel message is given to us in such simplicity that even a small child of just a few years can come to know JESUS CHRIST as SAVIOR!
&
- His Gospel message is expressed in massive largeness that we can never fathom the entire LOVE GOD OFFERS TO US!
Undoubtedly, ALL need JESUS since we are equal in our humanness: Your sin & My sin ALL fall short of God’s righteousness!
We truly have one HOPE—the Mercy & Grace of ALMIGHTY GOD!
Thus, amazingly, once we turn toward Jesus in repentance, God sets boundary lines in our lives. Even before He created us and placed us in our mother’s womb, He gave us a certain measurement of time, of days to live even before He gave us one. The Bible is clear about that truth. It was God Himself who decided where and when we were to live; yet, we are given liberty to choose “how” we live & “who” we will follow as our master “while” we live. We can choose to follow Jesus—the Son of God—OR—We can choose to remain in our sin, following after Satan and his deception. The choice is personally and individually ours to make!
God Sets Boundary Lines in Our Lives!
Let us pause to ask ourselves:
- Where are the measuring lines for me?
- Where does my inheritance reside?
- Who commands my heart?
- What master will I choose to follow?
- Will I do whatever my master commands me to do? &
- When the One I follow says, “Move,” will I move or remain stationary?
God loves us so much!
We only need to seek His infinite wisdom and endless love to find the proof of His love for us because He offers us the greatest gift—EVER—Salvation & Eternity within His presence! Therefore, we can choose to walk alongside our Lord and Savior, keeping in daily communication with Him, or we can choose to not. It is clearly our choice if you stay within God’s boundary lines for our lives. There is no fear of any force EVER taking away God’s Amazing Love & the Great Joy He provides!

“Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You.
(Psalm 16 NASB)
I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord;
I have nothing good besides You.”
As for the saints who are on the earth,
They are the majestic ones; all my delight is in them.
The pains of those who have acquired another god will be multiplied;
I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood,
Nor will I take their names upon my lips.
The LORD is my portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You support my lot.
The measuring lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
Indeed, my inheritance is beautiful to me.
I will bless the LORD who has advised me;
Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.
I have set the LORD continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will dwell securely.
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol;
You will not allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.
You will make known to me the way of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.”
