The REVELATION of Who HE is!
What do you love about God?
Pause right there.
Dwell there.
Enumerate ALL the many characteristics you love—about the ONE who gave you eternal life.
Do we strive to keep Him first?—Do we?
Do we, really? Or do we just say we do?
Are we seeking God’s will for our lives—Am I—Are you—Are we?
- Do we surrender our will?
- Do we walk true?
- Do we fix our face on Him?
- Do we?
- Do we walk in His will?
Are the desires of our heart what He would have us desire?
Oftentimes, the book of Revelation in the Bible scares us as God reveals through His servant John the final things. Maybe that was God’s intent. Maybe not. What we can know for sure is that this last book of God’s Word reveals the truth about the beast and the truth about the Son of God—JESUS—the KING of Kings & LORD of Lords!
Let us pause and read a couple of passages together. The verses will be listed here, but if you will, put down your device: the phone, the I-pad, or the computer and pick up your copy of God’s Word & read with me as we see JESUS CHRIST, OUR SAVIOR, OUR FRIEND, OUR REDEEMER, OUR LORD!
“Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, with a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand.”
(REVELATION 14: 14 NASB)
“The beast which was and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he goes to destruction.
(REVELATION 17: 11-14 NASB)
The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour.
These have one purpose, and they give their power and authority to the beast.
These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.”
HE died to ransom us.
HE is greater than death.
HE is greater than the grave.
HE is greater than hell.
HE is faithful.
HIS promises always come true & His truth is the truth.
HE is stronger than anything.
HE is higher than all mountains.
HE is above everything.
HE is more powerful than all.
HE will never be stumbled by any problem that we could ever bring to Him when we’re down on our knees.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.
(REVELATION 19: 11-16 NASB)
His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.
He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.
From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God,
the Almighty.
And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written:
KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
HE HAS A NAME!
HIS NAME IS ABOVE ALL NAMES!
AT HIS NAME, ALL NATIONS OF PEOPLE WILL BOW!
HE IS THE GREAT HIGH PRIEST!
HE IS THE GREAT PHYSICIAN!
HE IS THE GIVER!
HE IS THE “GOOD, GOOD NEWS”!
HE IS THE “ONLY ONE” TO PRAISE!
HE IS MY SAVIOR!
HE CHANGED MY EVERYTHING!
HE IS THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!
HE IS THE SON OF MAN & THE SON OF MAN!
HE IS THE WORD MADE FLESH!
HE IS THE LAMB OF GOD!
HE IS THE MESSIAH!
HE IS THE GREAT REDEEMER!
HE IS THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD!
HE IS OUR FRIEND!
HE IS THE ONE WHO CHANGED OUR NAME!
HE PAID ALL OUR DEBT FOR OUR DEBT OF SIN!
HE BROKE OUR CHAINS!
HE IS THE AMAZING GRACE!
WE CAN ONLY KNOW THE SALVATION OF GOD THROUGH HIM!
HE IS THE ROCK OF AGES!
HE IS THE KING OF KINGS!
HE IS THE LORD OF LORDS!
HE IS THE ONE ALL WILL BOW DOWN TO AT THE END OF AGES!
HE IS THE GREAT “I AM”!
HE IS GOD IN THE FLESH!
HE IS THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA!
HE IS THE VERY BEGINNING & THE VERY END!
HE IS JESUS CHRIST—THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!
HE IS THE “ONE” WE NEED!
HE CAME TO EARTH TO LAY DOWN HIS LIFE. &
HE DID ALL THIS FOR YOU AND FOR ME—SO WE MIGHT KNOW HIM AS OUR SAVIOR, REDEEMER, & LORD!
HIS LOVE IS STRONG!
HIS GRACE IS PERFECTLY FREE!
THANK YOU—JESUS FOR DOING ALL THIS FOR US!
& SOMEDAY SOON, HE WILL COME AGAIN!
THAT’S WHO HE IS—
THIS MOST-GLORIOUS, MOST-WONDERFUL, & MOST-PERFECT—JESUS!
Have you met Him?
“And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal,
(REVELATION 22: 1-7 NASB)
coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
in the middle of its street.
[this was revealed to John so we might see]
On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and
His bond-servants will serve Him;
they will see His face and His name will be on their foreheads.
And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illuminate them; and they will reign forever and ever.
And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true”; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show His bond-servants the things which must soon take place.
“And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
- We wear the name of JESUS on our hearts.
- HIS name will also be on our foreheads.
- We are saved because we received GOD’S AMAZING GRACE!
- We are justified because of HIS work on the cross and in the grave!
- We grow in sanctification because HIS HOLY SPIRIT dwells within us as HE walks daily with us!
- We will be glorified because we are HIS!
- We can know today that our names are written within the Book of Life by the shed blood of JESUS CHRIST!
Have you figured it out: What you love about God?
Truly, volumes of words cannot contain what we do—LOVE ABOUT GOD!
God’s Word is the ONLY thing that changes hearts!
This is no mere ink upon the pages. It is The Word made flesh.
This is the BREATH OF GOD HIMSELF!
It’s Living. Quick. Powerful. Sharp. Piercing. & Dividing.
The Word of God discerns the thoughts and intents of every person’s heart.
- May we long to know JESUS more fully.
- May we offer our lives to HIM completely.
- May we cling to CHRIST.
- May we stay at the foot of the cross.
- May we realize WHOSE we are as we know HIM more & more!
- May we throw up our hands & praise HIM over & over!
- MAY WE WALK WITHIN HIS WILL!
There is nothing better than JESUS!
HE is the ONLY ONE who can . . do anything . . . WHO can provide for all that we need!
It is an amazingly wonderful thing to know JESUS as our friend.
HE IS THE SOVEREIGN KING & HE IS A FRIEND TO THOSE WHO ONCE WERE LOST!
What do you love about God?
Do you know Him?
It only takes one step—to know HIM!
“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let’s hold firmly to our confession.
(Hebrews 4: 14-16 NASB)
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin.
Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.”
