Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Bow & Worship King Jesus!

Yesterday, mom spoke of a little girl who was born with poor vision, and as this little one grew from infancy to toddler, she saw with obscurity, without clarity.  One day, when she was old enough, her parents took her to the physician to help diagnose the problem.  After a careful examination, it was discovered that this child, this little one, could not see (as she should), so glasses were ordered.  Tiny glasses at first, ones that fit her face, and when the day arrived, the day when the physician placed these new lenses upon her face, at first it was a struggle for her.  As any child does, she struggled to move away, but once the lenses rested upon her and as she opened her eyes, SHE SAW for the very first time.  The look of amazement upon her face was glorious!  She turned to her left, and then turned to her right, not wanting to miss anything that she had been missing for her entire life.

With astonishment radiating from her face—SHE SAW FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME—ALL THAT SHE HAD BEEN MISSING!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, . . .”

(1 Peter 1: 3a NASB)
  • Stop right there.
  • Re-read those opening words of Peter’s letter to those who were scattered across the region, to those who were encouraged to obey Jesus Christ because they had been cleansed by His blood.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

(1 Peter 1: 3 NASB)
  • Pause and see.
  • Jesus as God, in the flesh, demonstrated “His great mercy . . .”
  • Through this demonstration of His power, “caused us to be born again to a living hope, . . .”
  • We have received an Eternal Hope that God orchestrated through the birth of Jesus & through the earthly life of His only Son & through the death and resurrection of His only Son—the Savior of the world.
  • Have we bowed in worship and adoration to the LORD?
  • Have we put down our phones and focused upon our MASTER and LORD?
  • Have we kneeled down on the floor, placing our knees upon the floor as we worship God in gratitude for all that He has done?
  • Have we shared the gospel with another lately, explaining to them how King Jesus came as a babe in a manger & how King Jesus will come again one day soon?
  • Have we explained to others the truth revealed, how all of humanity will bow and recognize Jesus when He comes, how all will worship Him and praise Him?

We have been gifted with a Spiritual Hope—A Confidence.

May we Bow & Worship King Jesus!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

(1 Peter 1: 3-5 NASB)
  • At our death, we receive our inheritance.
  • At our death, our HOPE remains alive.
  • At our death, the Salvation of God does not fade or disappear.
  • At our death, when our final earthly breath permeates the room where we reside, we will enter Heaven—forevermore.
  • At our death, we see JESUS & will remain with JESUS—for all time.

to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials,
so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; . . .”

(1 Peter 1: 3-7 NASB)
  • The longer we walk with Jesus, the closer we should desire to walk with Him.
  • The longer we walk with Jesus, the more faithfully we should walk.
  • The longer we walk with Jesus, regardless of our past, we should walk forward in humble gratitude.
  • The longer we walk with Jesus,  we “greatly rejoice” even during our life-trials because His salvation is far “more precious than gold. . .”
  • The longer we walk with Jesus, may we live out our faith, even through, even amidst the trials, even within the fires, even when tested beyond what we think we can endure.
  • The longer we walk with Jesus, we walk in faithful assurance that He only takes us places He has ordained us to go, to walk, to dwell—as we are abiding inside His will.

  • The outcome—Saints die, sinners die, but the Word of God lives!
  • As we believe, we too will—LIVE because of HIM!
  • As we believe, all will bow in homage to the KING of Kings!
  • As we believe, every tongue will confess Jesus as LORD!
  • As we believe, all people will be judged by GOD!
  • May we SEE with CLARITY.
