“The Surpassing GRACE of GOD in You.”
How are we doing today?
- As we live within this volatile economy, do we see the needs of our families met?
- Do we find ourselves praising God when the needs we experience are met?
- When we arise and place our feet upon the floor, do we do so with a praise upon our lips?
- As we pray over our new day (God’s gift to us), do we find ourselves focused upon the way we can bring honor to God within the span of this one day?
- When we step outside into the world, are we aware how we are given the awesome responsibility to share Jesus with others?
Are we actively sharing the Amazing Grace of God?
Today is a wonderful day to recall the indescribable gift of God’s grace & mercy. Walk with me into God’s Word and see with me what is possible when we walk within God’s calling upon our lives.
“Because of the proof given by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all,
while they also, by prayer on your behalf, yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.”
(2 Corinthians 9: 13-14 NASB)
That’s right!
The world seeks evidence (proof) of God living inside of us, within us, leading us, directing our steps—that it is REALLY GOD who walks along with us.
When we are obedient to walk through the day with God, living within God’s will upon our lives, then others will glorify God because they see with clarity our obedience to God.
- How are we doing with the sowing, the sharing of our confession of the gospel of Christ Jesus?
- Are we arriving back home in the evening time with our seed bag still half full?
- Still completely full? OR
- Are we arriving home with our gospel seed bag empty and ready to be filled by God for our tomorrow we hope God gives us to live and to walk in ministry to Him?
- Are we returning home, thankful that God has given us His seed to scatter?
Are we actively sharing the Amazing Grace of God?
I read these humbling words that I now share with you: “You are either in the Word and the Word is conforming you to the image of Jesus Christ, or you are in the world and the world is squeezing you into its mold.”—Howard Hendricks
We are sinners, saved by the grace of God.
- What is beyond our control today?
- What situation do we wish we could change, but we just cannot?
- What do we see coming in our near future, and we wish would not come, but it’s moving toward us anyway?
- What actions would we dictate or alter of another if we could?
God surrounds us with a community of faith, the family of God, who walk beside us & with us, edifying us as we also encourage them.
“Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously.
Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; . . .”
(2 Corinthians 9: 6-8 NASB)
Today is a wonderful day to recall the indescribable gift of God’s grace & mercy.
We are answering God’s call upon our lives as we step forward to do, to give, to go where & what HE has given us to do, to give, to go. His Calling Upon Each of Us!
- May we sense the liberation God has given to each one of us!
- May we walk within God’s Amazing Grace, His freedom to share Jesus!
- May we share Jesus, unashamedly, liberally, intently listening to the Holy Spirit, being led, knowing where HE prompts us to scatter the gospel seed as we walk within the span of this one day of our lives.

Are we allowing the world to see the evidence (the proof) of God living inside of us?
“Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food [HE is ALMIGHTY GOD] will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;
you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.
For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.”
(2 Corinthians 9: 10-12 NASB)
- May the Surpassing GRACE of GOD grip us so tightly that it touches all we touch!
- May the Surpassing GRACE of GOD grip us so tightly that it speaks through the words we speak!
- May the Surpassing GRACE of GOD grip us so tightly that it hugs others with the LOVE of GOD!
- May the Surpassing GRACE of GOD grip us so tightly that it gives of ourselves to others, even going beyond what we think we have to give!
- May the Surpassing GRACE of GOD grip us so tightly that it sees the world as Jesus does!
- May the Surpassing GRACE of GOD grip us so tightly that it hears the outpouring cries of the hurting!
- May the Surpassing GRACE of GOD grip us so tightly that it OVERWHELMS OTHERS EVEN AS IT DOES US!
“as it is written:
HE SCATTERED ABROAD, HE
GAVE TO THE POOR,
HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS
ENDURES FOREVER.”
(2 Corinthians 9: 9 NASB)
FOLLOWING JESUS CAN BE DANGEROUS!
FOLLOWING JESUS MAY LEAD US WHERE WE NEVER THOUGHT WE WOULD GO!

FOLLOWING JESUS GIVES PRAISE & HONOR TO OUR FATHER!
FOLLOWING JESUS REVEALS THE SURPASSING GRACE OF GOD IN EACH CHILD OF GOD!

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”
(2 Corinthians 9: 15 NASB)
