Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Nothing is Left to Chance—Including Us!

Nothing is Left to Chance.

No Detail is too small for God.

God is concerned with all parts of us.

God is concerned with all parts of nature that sustains us.

God is concerned with all parts of His creation—ALL Parts!

“He established the earth

upon its foundations,

So that it will not totter

forever and ever.”

(Psalm 104: 5 NASB)

The Deep Sea—God’s Rebuke keeps the water in its place.

The Mountains & The Valleys—God’s Placement established them & Keeps them just so.

The Wild Animals drink their fill from the springs—God provides.

The Birds are given trees of great size with multiple branches—God made.

Yesterday, I found myself speeding west, into the dark of the morning, and as I drove west, the eastern sky was turning a hue of orange, clearly seen in my rearview mirror.  In that instance, I remembered what the psalmist wrote about God.

“He made the moon for the seasons;

The sun knows the place

of its setting.

You appoint darkness and

it becomes night,

In which all the animals of

the forest prowl about.

The young lions roar for their prey

And seek their food from God.

When the sun rises they withdraw,

And they lie down in their dens.

A person goes out to his work

And to his labor until evening.”

(Psalm 104: 19-23 NASB)

Nothing is Left to Chance.

No Detail is too small for God.

  • It is God who waters the earth from the heavens.
  • It is God who causes the fruit to grow.
  • It is God who feeds the cattle, horses, sheep, donkeys, all animals with the grass He grows.
  • It is God who feeds humanity with the vegetation He grows.
  • It is God who plants the great trees of the earth.
  • It is God who placed the wild goats up high in the mountain tops.
  • It is God who made distinct crevices in the mountains, making spots of refuge for creatures to live.

“LORD, how many are Your works!

In wisdom You have made them all;

The earth is full of Your possessions.” (Psalm 104: 24 NASB)

Yesterday, I found myself speeding west, and suddenly, the rain began to fall upon my windshield.  As it gently fell, my lowered car-windows allowed the “clean” scent of the air to waft inside the sanctuary of my Subaru.  Then to my left, where God’s morning sun was attempting to shine, God caused a gorgeous rainbow to form, reminding me of God’s promise He gave to Noah.  In that moment, I remembered—

Nothing is Left to Chance.

No Detail is too small for God.

There is a beautiful melody that speaks the truth through song of the thankfulness all humanity should bestow to our Creator.  I hope you will pause to listen to the melody “Give Thanks” by Steffany Gretzinger & Melissa Helser, and as you do, pause to praise our heavenly Father for what He has done for us.

The sea is so broad, so majestic—God made the sea.

The sea creatures are plentiful, so colorful in their deep—God made the creatures found in the deep.

The world is so broad, so majestic—God made the whole world.

Humanity fills the earth, and it is Almighty God—who controls humanity’s substance & breath.

“They all wait for You

To give them their food in due season.

You give to them, they gather it up;

You open Your hand, they are

satisfied with good.

You hide Your face, they are terrified;

You take away their

breath, they perish

And return to their dust.

You send forth Your Spirit,

they are created;

And You renew the face of the ground.”

(Psalm 104: 28-30 NASB)

Nothing is Left to Chance.

No Detail is too small for God.

Yesterday, I found myself speeding west, and as I did, the LORD created a gap in the cloud-cover.  When HE did, even though the morning was grey, God gave me a glimpse of His sun shining behind His clouds.  In that moment, God’s Holy Spirit reminded me of God’s promise of His salvation, and I began to praise my God, right there inside the sanctuary of my vehicle.  Today, I find myself reminded of this truth—Once we give our hearts to the LORD, HE ordains our steps and helps us grow into who we are meant to be.  Who is in charge, the world asks?  It is most definitely Almighty God, the creator of ALL THINGS—Including You & Me!

“May the glory of the LORD

endure forever;

May the LORD rejoice in His works;

He looks at the earth, and it trembles;

He touches the mountains,

and they smoke.

I will sing to the LORD

as long as I live;

I will sing praise to my God

while I have my being.

May my praise be pleasing to Him; . . .”

(Psalm 104: 31-34a NASB)
