A walk through life toward eternity

THE BIBLE—It is ALIVE & It is Changing Hearts: A Miracle to Behold!

What difference does the Word of God make IF the gospel message is not alive in us?

Furthermore, what difference does the Bible make IF WE NEVER Open The Word of God, never read the Scriptures, and never meditate or memorize passages?

Will we be “changed people, peculiar people, sanctified people” IF WE FAIL to walk with God through the reading of His Word?  No!

The Study of God’s Holy Word is So Vitally Needed!

A good friend said to me this week:  If we give up one hour of television each day and actively use that hour to read the Bible, then we can read the entire Word of God through in six months.  Wow!

I love a challenge.  Yes, I love taking on a challenge, proving whether it is accurate or not.  Maybe you too enjoy a challenge.  Maybe together, we can decide that we will take this challenge:  1 Hour Every Day + Reading the Bible—(Every Single Day) = the Bible Read (Cover-to-Cover)—In Less Than One Brief Year.

Are we up for the challenge? I Do Believe We Are!

Yesterday, during a video chat, I found myself opening the book of John with a young woman, and although we began reading this particular text many months ago, we opened John to the second chapter.  I must admit that before yesterday, I wondered why we were going so slow, and I wondered, “God, will we ever make it through?”

Yesterday, I saw God move through His Word in a miraculous way!

The conversation went something like this.

“Do you want to talk about our book?” (that’s what we collectively like to call it—the Gospel of John) because I had mailed her a pamphlet-size copy of the book of John months ago.

“Sure.  Let me get my copy.”  As I sat on my side of the world, looking at an empty screen, waiting, time elapsed while she searched.  I took a phone call.  I heard her rummaging.  When she returned to the screen frame, she exclaimed, “I can’t find my copy.”

“You lost your book?” I asked in disbelief, as I thought, ‘What now, LORD?’

“Yes.  I don’t know where I put it.”

“Wait a minute,” she said, as she again scrambled off the bed and left my sight.  I could hear her digging through papers.

“I found it!” she excitedly exclaimed, holding up her small booklet I had mailed to her months ago.  “It was just where I put it,” she said with a smile on her face.

We sat there, together in person even while distanced by a screen.  She asked me questions.  I asked her questions.  We shared a conversation and a miracle unfolded right before my eyes.

As I said, for weeks now, we have tried to make time to talk together about “the Book of John,” but whenever we came together, other topics always came up, and I must admit, I prayed—”God, why did You lead us to begin this reading together if we can’t ever find time to talk about Your Word?”

Now I know Why—God Created A Miracle Right in Front of Me!

As we discussed the “Miracle at Cana,” we were able to connect something we had experienced together just a week ago, and as we discussed Jesus’ first miracle, she said, “That makes sense.”

Inside my mind, I whispered, “Thank You God.  Thank You God.”

It’s so easy to see God move when we look for Him to move, when we pray in advance, asking God to move.

GOD ALWAYS SHOWS UP!  GOD IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL!

ALWAYS!

A week before our video chat, the two of us had sat together outside our rented Airbnb, and a similar conversation had occurred.  Questions were asked.  Answers were given.  Scripture was shared.

God Had Created a Miracle Right in Front of Me Then  & Now, God Created Another Miracle.

She and I were now again talking (not side-by-side, but through a screen), and there was God, revealing Himself in a miraculous way.

Is God a God of love?

Most Definitely, YES!

Is God a God of coincidences?  NO, Most Definitely NOT!

God a God of Faithfulness & Providence!

God a God of Miracles!

Is God’s Word alive and at work within us?

Will God’s Word be alive and at work within us every day?

100% for sure, if we allow God to move within us and through us.

Will God’s Word live on even after our days are gone?

YES, even if the world is given 10,000 tomorrows, when we are no longer alive here on earth to arise from our slumber, God’s Word will remain the Living Word of God.

Will God’s Word change us?

YES!  ABSOLUTELY, if we faithfully and diligently seek God, read His living Word, and serve Him, then God promises to meet us—right where we are!

Thus, our Prayer can continually be—”May the grace of God form us into the likeness of Jesus and May the Word of God excite us and unite us and inspire us and guide us.”

King David wrote this Psalm of praise.  SEE God’s Infallible Word with me this day.

“The LORD is righteous in all His ways,

And kind in all His works.

The LORD is near to all who call on Him,

To all who call on Him in truth.

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;

He will also hear their cry for help and save them.

The LORD watches over all who love Him,

But He will destroy all the wicked.

My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD,

And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever.”

(NASB 2020—Psalm 145: 17-21)

God is the Creator of all! SCIENCE CONTINUALLY PROVES IT SO!

Sadly, so many remain lost and do not yet know God as their Father.

So, we share the Bible the Infallible Word of God with them!

JESUS CHRIST UNDENIABLY IS THE WORD MADE FLESH.

The book of John proves it so.

Is God’s judgment a hoax and untruth?  ABSOLUTELY NOT.

God led the apostle John to write the Gospel of John to reveal truth, why Jesus came to earth as a man, and to speak to humanity about how we once were lost.

Jesus Christ is the Way to be found!

“The Jews then said to Him, “What sign do You show us as Your authority for doing these things.”

Jesus answered them, ”Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

The Jews then said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple and yet You will raise it up in three days?”

But He was speaking about the temple of His body.”

(NASB 2020—John 2: 18-21)

So, we sat side-by-side through a computer screen and discussed the book of John.

I asked, “Do you know what it means by “the temple of His body”?

We spoke about our bodies as temples, as vessels for our soul.

We spoke about the things that can defile our bodies:  hatred, deceit, anger, and so many more sins.

“Yes. That makes sense,” she said, and inside my mind, I whispered, “Thank You God for the book of John.  Thank You God.”

The Word of God is ALIVE  &  MOVING!  It Is Changing Hearts!

Thank You God. YOU Most Definitely ARE a MIRACLE to Behold!

Coincidences.  Unbelief.  Untruth—They do not change the truth of God!

God’s Timing & God’s Love & God’s Word. 100% TRUTH!

Someone we know and love may remain far away from God in their mind, but God only needs one second to change a person’s heart, to save a soul for all eternity!

Let us remain ever-ready to see a Miracle of God.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone [every single person alive] who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.”

(NASB 2020—John 3:16)
