Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Rejoice in the Promise—Jesus Walks With Us! “See You In Heaven”

“See you in heaven” he called out as he waved goodbye to leave.  Where was he going, and where had he come from, and why had he stopped?  So many questions; nonetheless, one singular answer—Rejoice.

Where was he going?

Where had he come from to arrive there?

What caused him to pause, to stop there, instead of rushing right by in his haste to get “there”?

He was going to find his wife and child, the same wife and child he had not seen for a full month.

Why had they been separated?  The war, the turmoil, a radical change in their lives, had caused the separation.

He had come from a place of turmoil (body, mind, and soul) created by the uncontrollable change that he had endured.  Change.  It is inevitable.  Life—it does ebb and flow.  One moment we are just walking along our life-path and suddenly, we must pause to make a turn, a change.  We might be forced to stand completely still.  Sometimes, we are forced by something so large, so heavy that we even must sit down because of the pain, the fear, or even the fatigue.  Whatever is the agent causing the onslaught of the “change” within our lives, we can be assured that we never remain alone.  Jesus remains right there—right here—with us!

We can rejoice in that one truth.

That is what caused him to pause, to stop in his journey and not rush on by as he searched for his wife and child.

That caused the man to pause, to lift his arms toward heaven, and to praise God.

“See you in heaven”

How can we know?

Simple!

God’s Word claims it is so!  SEE With Me.

“This is the day which the LORD has made;

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

(Psalm 118: 24)

Rejoice Today!  Jesus Walks With Us & Heaven Awaits!

We can REJOICE in this one day our LORD has created.

WHY?

We are assured of the salvation our LORD has provided.

HOW?

We will remain forevermore within our LORD’S presence in HEAVEN.

Heaven is our next stop!

What a blessed thought.

Oh my, YES!

Even though the rain falls and the storms come.

Even though life-change seems to knock the breath right out of our lungs.

Even though we are almost overcome with the floodgates of life—turmoil, disease, cancer, divorce, health concerns, or grief.

Truly, this day may bring so much struggle, distress, turmoil, sadness, and grief that it is not possible to wear a smile—BUT—that does not mean we have lost our JOY!

How is that even possible?

How can we be sad and rejoice—ALL AT THE SAME TIME?

STILL, WE CAN REJOICE.

STILL, WE CAN RECALL.

STILL, WE CAN REMEMBER & REMAIN ASSURED.

WE ARE WASHED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB!

“Consider it all joy, [yes, an opportunity for great joy, for REJOICING when trouble and trials and life-alternating change comes]

my brethren, [brothers and sisters in Christ]

when you encounter various trials, [when trouble comes knocking on your life-door]

Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance [the LORD tests who are HIS, trying our faith and reliance in Him].

And let endurance have its perfect result, [the Bible tells us how the LORD is preparing us for our eternity with Him where we will See HIM As HE Is]

so that you may be perfect and complete, [the LORD “grows us,” “matures us spiritually,” & “gets us ready” for the day we will arrive home in HEAVEN].

lacking in nothing.”

[there will be NOTHING we need because we RESIDE in the PRESENCE of JESUS]

(James 1: 2-4)

“See you in heaven” he called out as he waved goodbye to leave.

Walking With Jesus Toward Heaven Every Single Day of His Life.

He had endured Trials, Storms, Life-Shifts, & from Life-Change.

He Paused.  He Stopped.  He Looked Up from his life-struggle—To BE REMINDED that he Walked With Jesus, the SAVIOR Who Continually Walks With Him Day-by-Day.

We Have One Singular Response—Rejoice!  Thank You Jesus!

May we CONTINUALLY REJOICE because our LORD FOREVERMORE REMAINS WITH US!

Our Joy is Rooted in the work of JESUS!

Jesus Has Us!

He has a purpose, a plan!

God does!

He is sovereign!

God holds us tightly within His hand!

God forevermore loves us & keeps us!

So may we

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,

Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

(James 1: 2-4)

And may we listen and be reminded of this wonderful promise of God.

“AMEN’ is a beautiful melody by Micah Tyler

“I can’t get over what You’ve done for me. . . .

AMEN. AMEN. AMEN. AMEN. AMEN. AMEN. Oh, AMEN.”

So, even though during the “life-storm,” we may not be able to wear a pasted smile on our face this one single day; nevertheless, we can REJOICE in this one day our LORD has created.

Most assuredly, we are walking within the promise our LORD has provided—We can remain forevermore within our LORD’S PRESENCE.

“This is the day which the LORD has made;

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

(Psalm 118: 24)
