A Hike, A Minor Injury, & God’s Amazing Grace
On my right hand, there is a weakness, a pain, one that when it screams, I remember the day, the hike, the jump down from one place to another.
Two weeks ago, I went on a hike in the Netherlands, and two weeks ago, I had to jump down from one place to another, holding onto a tree branch as I jumped.
Hence, the tender spot on my hand.
Hence, the blood that seeped from the opening.
Hence, the crusty scab that surrounds the wound.
Today, I am most thankful for the scab, for the blood, for the tender spot.
Today, I am most thankful for relationships.
Today, I am most thankful for You, God, for Your sustaining power.
Today, I am most thankful for YOU!
On December 28th, I had the pleasure of traveling to Germany to see my daughter, and that was such a beautiful journey. The people I met along the way and the girl I hugged at the airport made the entire journey so sweet. Continually, I thank God for His protection and guidance of my daughter and her husband.
YES, THANK YOU GOD!!!
After time shared with my daughter in Germany, I took the train to The Netherlands to see another, one who has become so dear to me, like a second daughter. She struggles to see the truth, but that does not deter my hope that one day she will see the truth found only in God.
In knowing her, I have been so blessed to know her family, a beautiful family.
A Father—a strong father who loves his family.
A Mother—a beautiful mother, a kind mother, a loving mother.
A Sister—a wonderful sister, one who strives to learn, to see the truth about life, the mind, the body, and the spirit.
A Brother—a handsome man, one who has grown, matured so much as the years have passed, one who will travel to my home in March. I am So Excited!!!
Thank You, God for this beautiful family!
Yes, Thank YOU, GOD!
During my journey to Europe over the Winter Break from school, I traveled, and although the Lord led me to meet so many sweet souls, God also provided me conversations with those I love.

Last week, while in The Netherlands, we took a hike. To be honest, I was not sure if I could hike the entire distance, so I prayed, asking God for endurance and less pain as I hiked with this beautiful family.
We hiked up hills (yes, they reminded me of Kentucky hills).
We hiked past a cemetery (yes, this reminded of my humanness).
We hiked through fields (yes, they reminded me of the pastures the Lord walk us through).
We hiked & I saw God, every step of the way.

Early this morning, God led me to read His Word, and there, I found TRUTH!
You know, if you know me, what I will say: Do not believe me but believe God’s Word.
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing , so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
(Romans 15: 13)
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God,
which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.”
(2 Corinthians 2: 12-13)
