The Christmas Gift We Must Reach Out And Receive
Christmas Eve marked my mom’s 77th birthday, a time to reflect upon her goodness and love as we celebrated and looked forward to more birthdays that give us pause to celebrate the day of her birth & her presence in our lives.
Yesterday, was a day I share with my mom, my siblings and my nieces and their husbands—-A blessing from God.
Then last night, I traveled 3 miles to Fonnie’s home and enjoyed a meal and gift-giving with her most beautiful family.
God gifts us with such amazing wonders of His love!!!
Most definitely, the Christmas season is a time of celebration—Christmas Eve—The final day of The Season of Advent.
Advent is the time when our eyes look toward two truths:
The Coming of the Messiah—The Christ-Child—the babe born in a manger.
&
The Second Coming of the Messiah—The King of Kings & The LORD of Lords!
Yesterday, we lit the white candle, symbolizing the Christ, the Savior.
As we reflect back even today, we see the two purple candles aflame, symbolizing the HOPE & the FAITH of Jesus.
We see the Pink candle aflame, symbolizing the JOY found in walking through life with Christ Jesus as Savior.
We see the third Purple candle aflame symbolizing the WAITING, as seen through God’s angels, who first proclaimed the birth of the Messiah.
We see the Green wreath symbolizing LIFE, placed upon the table. LIFE is not really LIFE unless we know the Redeemer & King as LORD. God, I want to bow and worship You as I thank You for Your most important and life-sustaining gift of Your Salvation!
On Christmas Eve, we saw the White candle, the only candle burning inside the green wreath (as the other candles sit outside the wreath and surround it—symbolizing life.
We see this White candle—Christ’s Candle.
Only Jesus brings us—
HOPE.
FAITH.
JOY.
WAITING for His Second Coming
LIFE.
THE CHRIST.
THE SAVIOR of the WORLD!!!
I am so thankful for God’s Word as He speaks to my heart.
I am thankful that I serve God who knows my struggles and walks with me through them.
I am thankful that I serve God who loves me despite my weakness.
I am thankful that I serve God who loved each one of us so much that He sent His Son—-His Only Son to die—His Only Son to take the place of death for us.
Sure, you will die and I will die. We have seen and touched enough death to know the reality of this fact, but praise God, my soul is secure, and I will not walk into this death alone because I know that at my last breath, the truth is I will go home.
HOME.
Even though I would go home today, my husband’s love and care, Sydney, Mom, Marieke, Mischele, Jill, Julie, Ron, Curtis, Kim, Julena, Scott, Jeff, Jennifer, Katie, Taylor, Carley, Cortney, Ashley, Ron, their beautiful children, and the so-many names God has given to me to love—-they keep my hands lifted high, open-palmed and saying aloud: “Thank You Jesus, for Your Saving Grace.”
God knew we needed a Savior from the beginning of time, when He created the first man and his wife.
God knew—So He sent His most precious gift–His Son—Jesus—to humanity.
Thank You God for this amazing Christmas gift we celebrate this day.
Jesus, sent as God Himself to us.
Jesus, sent as one who experienced and knows the struggles we face.
Jesus, the Only Way to know God.
JESUS.
Do you know Jesus as your Savior?
He’s the ONLY Gift that will matter today.
Romans 3:23 tells us how we are each sinners.
Romans 6:23 tells us what we deserve due to our sin—Separation & Death.
John 3:16 tells us why God sent His Son to us—God’s love—that is why!
Romans 5: 6-8 tells us how God did not wait for us to clean up and get right our lives but how Jesus comes to us—Just as we are covered in all our sin, separated from God.
And then Romans 10: 9-10 leads us to God, to our confession and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior.
Won’t you–Today–bow and believe, accept, & receive God’s gift today!
Truly, I have experienced sadness and turmoil and struggles in my life, but God knew what I needed to see me through the days of my life but don’t believe me. See with me.
“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, [our struggles] but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
(Hebrews 4: 15-16)
Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
On this Christmas morning, children understand how a gift cannot be received unless it is opened and seen and accepted.
Won’t you accept the Salvation of God today?!!!
The sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus means that we can choose to accept the mercy and saving grace of God’s love instead of the separation and punishment we deserve due to our sin.
Free Gift.
The gift of God given to us through His Only Son—Jesus!!!!
A Gift to Behold & Receive.
A Gift that brings eternity shared with God–in Heaven!!!
Every Nation. Every Tribe. Every Person Will See Jesus.
Whether we see Him as our Savior is totally left up to us.
An Individual Decision with Eternal Consequences!!!!
Won’t you Believe, Accept, & Receive God’s Gift of Salvation Today—December 25, 2021? !!!!
The Apostle John wrote:
“And the Word became flesh, [the babe in the manger] and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
(John 1: 14)
“For God so loved the world, [God loved us] that He gave His only begotten Son, [to each one of us] that whoever believes in Him, [that each one of us who choose to believe God] shall not perish, [at our death] but have eternal life.” [live forever in the presence of God]
(John 3:16)
