Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

The Line Is Long; The Season Endures; The Joy Is Ours; Let Us Proclaim—HIM!

The line was long……REALLY LONG!
She peered ahead, leaning out to her right, straining to see the front of the line.
It was impossible to see the front.
“I will be here forever, she grumbled under her breath, thinking no one heard her, but someone did.
She heard herself.
She heard the words spoken aloud.
She felt the words deep.
A season of time.  How long does it last?  Should it last?  Could it last?  Must it last?
“Oh God, surely THIS season has lasted long enough.”

How many times have we spoken those words inside our being?

Do we really wish for God to reveal how long   &

Can we endure a season—LONGER—IF WE KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER?

Just yesterday, I said, “I wish I could see next year at this time,” in relation to something specific being discussed, but then it struck me that probably I do not wish for that wish to be granted at all.
Quite Possibly…..Next Year on November 18, 2022—-We Could Be In The Season Of—-
Grief Over the Loss of A Loved One.
Distress Over the Actions of A Loved One.
Fear Over A Decision Made Or Not Made.
Sadness Over A Mistake OR An Event Experienced.
Joy Over A Closer Walk With Our LORD.
Strength Because of How We Have Been Led Through This Next Season of Days.

When God has a task, a job, a project, a mission for us to do, then we can rest assured that God will also bring others into our life who can walk alongside us, encouraging us, helping us, and praying for us.  Thank You God for that most wonderful blessing.  We should pause and ask God to reveal who He has given to us that we are allowed to walk alongside as they journey through their season of days.  As we learn that truth, we may just see who God has given us to travel along with too.  Thank You God that You remind us that two—walking with, helping to, journeying alongside, being with, and praying over IS ALWAYS A GIFT FROM YOU!

We Are NEVER Alone!

Even when Jesus prepared for His crucifixion, He assured His disciples that He would send the Helper, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit of God who would guide them as they went.  Thank You God for Your Most Precious Holy Spirit.
Let us pause and see.
Let is never believe anything but God’s Word.

“Wait for the LORD;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the LORD.”

(Psalm 27: 14)

The prophet Isaiah proclaimed the truth when he was led to write—

“The Spirit of the LORD God is upon me,
Because the LORD has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;
To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn, . . .

But you will be called the priests of the LORD;
You will be spoken of as ministers of our God.
You will eat the wealth of nations,
And in their riches you will boast.
Instead of your shame you will have a double portion,
And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion.
Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land,
Everlasting joy will be theirs.
For I, the LORD, love justice,
I hate robbery in the burnt offering;
And I will faithfully give them their recompense
And make an everlasting covenant with them.”

(Isaiah 61: 1-2  &  6-8)

God came to earth.
God came to save.
God loves us unconditionally.
The deeper the love runs, the harder it can be to express the LOVE with our words but let us try.
Let us see the lost who surrounds us and let us tell them about our Savior.
Yes.  The line may be long; the journey of our days may stretch out for what seems like an eternity; & our particular season may seem to go on and on and on and on and on…..Forever!

So, as we go—Let us remember, The Joy of LORD is Ours! Let us proclaim the Truth of God to Those We Encounter as we walk through the space of—This—Our One Life.
