Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Do Not Fear Our Circumstances. See IT—The Promise!!!

Do we ever feed our fear?
Do we ever look at our present situation of service, knowing God has placed us here (in this place–in this position–in this time) & we just wish to run—-in the other direction?
Are we tired?
Are we frustrated?
Are we way out of our comfort zone?
Are we afraid that we’ll surely fall flat upon our face?
Do we ever feed our fear?

When God calls us to a task,

  • ONE that seems larger than us,
  • ONE more sophisticated than us,
  • ONE creating a fear down deep,  &
  • ONE maybe we just Don’t really want to continue—–

It is THEN & It is THERE we must pause and seek God.  Talk to God.  Tell Him our struggles, our desires, our needs, our tiredness, our sins, our thoughts, and our fears.  GOD ALREADY KNOWS, BUT STILL GOD WANTS US TO SHARE EVERYTHING WITH HIM.
WHY?

When we share, when we pray, when we repent, when we walk as God leads, when we study His Word—-It is then that our FAITH Grows.
As you know, do not believe me but believe God’s Word
In speaking with the believers in Rome, God gave the Apostle Paul these words.

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”

(Romans 8:18)

And again, to the believers in Corinth, God gave the Apostle Paul these words.

“For momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen;  for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

(2 Corinthians 4: 17-18)

Let us not be afraid.
Let us not give up walking within God’s will.
Let us not focus only upon what we can see because God is still changing hearts.
Let us stay the course.
The beauty of glory is just ahead.

If we could see it with our physical eyes, we would take off—running toward it, straining toward it with all our might.
Isn’t that exactly what we (believers) are to be doing?!!!

In the Old Testament, God spoke to Moses, instructing him in what he should say to the Israelites as they faced struggles, trials, and the unknown.

Today, let us strain toward God, let us walk in His will, & let us run toward God.

Today, let us lean in toward God—Who Is Our Promised Land.

Today, let us dwell upon the Word of God.

“Then I said to you [Moses said to the people], “Do not be shocked, nor fear them.
The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son, in all the way which you have walked until you came to this place.”

(Deuteronomy 1: 29-31)
