A walk through life toward eternity

FULL CONFESSION

Was Jesus—

  • King of the Jews?
  • Savior of the world?
  • Battered, Beaten, Tortured & Humiliated for you and me?
  • Crucified in a most horrific way?
  • Isolated from God as He took on Himself the sins of the whole world?
  • Supernatural in His power to control His death?
  • Able to control His final breath and die according to His power?

YES!  YES JESUS WAS!  & YES, JESUS IS THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD!

In the Bible, there is a day that we read, one when Jesus calmed the storm raging on the sea, one when Jesus empowered Peter to walk on the water, and one when the disciples realized with conviction that Jesus was exactly who He said He was.

“When they got into the boat, the wind stopped.
And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying,
“You are certainly God’s Son!”

(The Gospel According to Matthew 14:32-33 NASB)

Then, again, in another time and place, as Jesus was questioning His disciples, He asked them:

“Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
And they said, . . .

[the disciples gave Jesus the many answers they had heard across the district of Caesarea Philippi.  Then Jesus paused and looked directly at His chosen ones, and]
“He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

(The Gospel According to Matthew 16:13b-14a & 15-16  NASB)

If you are a believer as I am, then we are commanded to share this TRUE & FULL CONFESSION. Since we have been redeemed by the blood of the living Son of God, then we are to testify, encouraging and leading others to respond in faith to Jesus.

Our faith in Jesus requires humanity to accept Christ Jesus as God’s Son, and to believe in the work Jesus did on the cross to atone (to pay the price) for the sins of the world, and to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior.

  • Confess the TRUTH.
  • Believe the TRUTH.
  • Accept the TRUTH.

We who are Christ followers have no need to be fearful, for we have nothing to be afraid of—for we TRUST in JESUS’ NAME.

In God’s Word, Jesus Himself tells us plainly:

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
and I give eternal life to them,
and they will never perish;
and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all;
and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one.”

(The Gospel According to John 10: 27-30 NASB)

In fact, the prophet Isaiah records how the names of the believers have been inscribed on the palms of the Father’s hands.  Just imagine, when God peers into His palms, He sees the names of every single believer who lives today or who has ever lived.  Name after name written there, where they cannot ever be erased.  The Messiah spoke this promise to His chosen believers living in Sardis, one that rings true for us too.

“He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments;
and I will not erase his name from the book of life,
and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

(The Revelation to John 3: 5-6 NASB)

These are the promises of God!

We who have been redeemed by Christ’s work on the cross are reconciled back to God, and the alienation from God has been removed FOREVER!

THIS IS THE FULL CONFESSION WE ARE COMMANDED BY JESUS TO SHARE WITH THE WORLD!
