YES, even in the valleys
There is much woe in this world where we exist. Children suffer the pain of disease. Teens face travesties both online and in person. Adults struggle to make ends meet, to feed, cloth, and shelter their families. & Elderly ones struggle and world about today and tomorrow’s cares. Surely, we exist in a world where valleys can show up day-after-day, and we are not often standing on the mountain peaks where life is easy, sweet, and adorable. Even the believers often beat their breast and ask: God, why now? Why does this need to happen to my family, to me?
However, even though we do not always understand (WHY), the truth remains the truth. We cannot measure God’s certainties: His Forgiveness, His Love Lavished on Humanity; His Answers to Prayers; His Infinite Care & His Amazing Grace.
Therefore, when life takes an unexpected turn, (and it surely will) a follower of Jesus can offer only one response: Lift up your voice in song to the Lord.
Seasons may become heavy. Battles in life may make walking forward extremely hard, and it may be difficult to hold onto joy. NEVERTHELESS, GOD IS AT WORK!
- Remain faithful, for God has a purpose, even in this.
- Remain faithful, for God is present within your midst.
Life might be a struggle, and the world may seem to be crumbling around your feet. Maybe the noise surrounding you could begin to plant seeds of doubt, telling you that God has forgotten you.
HE HASN’T!
In God’s lavish love, He Remains Close Beside You.
- The Lord is with you.
- The Mighty One still saves.
- The Father will meet you in the valley.
God will take delight in you & He will rejoice over you with singing.
“The LORD your God is in your midst,
(The Book of Zephaniah 3: 17 NASB)
A victorious warrior.
He will exult over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”
SO,
- When in the middle of a difficulty—SING!
- When turmoil marches into the calmness of life—SING!
“Sing to the LORD a new song;
(The Psalms 96: 1-2 NASB)
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.”
AND
- When health takes a turn for the worst—SING!
- When death knocks at the door—SING!
PROCLAIM
“Tell of His glory among the nations,
(The Psalms 96: 3-5 NASB)
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the LORD made the heavens.”
THE WATCHING WORLD MAY ASK, ‘HOW CAN YOU DO THIS?’
LET OUR REPLY ALWAYS BE ONE OF FAITH, SAYING, ‘WATCH THE LORD DO MORE THAN WE COULD EVER ASK OR EVEN IMAGINE.’
“Splendor and majesty are before Him,
(The Psalms 96:6 NASB)
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.”
Child of God, whatever occurs in life, whenever the stressors of life come (and they will)—
MAY WE LIFT OUR VOICES & SING of HIS GOODNESS FOR ALL THE WORLD TO HEAR.
Child of the King, even during the valleys (yes, even there)—
MAY WE LIFT OUR HANDS, TWIRL AND PROCLAIM of HIS MARVELOUS WORKS.
GOD IS GOOD!
Let us never forget what the Word of God states with emphatic authority.
“The LORD your God is in your midst,
(The Book of Zephaniah 3: 17 NASB)
A victorious warrior.
He will exult over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”
