HIS Salvation was Finished—Completed—Done!
“And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice,
(The Gospel According to Matthew 27: 50-52 NASB)
and yielded up His spirit.”
And behold,
the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom;
and the earth shook
and the rocks were split.
The tombs were opened,
and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised,”
When one considers the events of the crucifixion, those excruciating moments on the cross that Jesus endured for us, with opened, spiritual eyes, we are able to see the TRUTH of what CHRIST JESUS accomplished.
Consider—
- Jesus was hanged, His earthly flesh pierced with large stakes, instruments of pain that were expertly positioned to cause his body the most pain.
- Jesus died in His perfect timing, after accomplishing that which He came to do: to die, to spill His blood, to pay the price of God’s wrath, to cover our sins with His precious blood.
- After Jesus cried out & After He died, then (according to the historical record found in the Bible), specific actions occurred.
- The veil separated God from His people was rent into two, making The Way possible for us to be saved.
- The earth violently shook with a massive earthquake and large rocks split under the pressure the quake caused.
- The tombs of the dead were reopened, and the dead in Christ were raised from the dead.
“It was now about the sixth hour [noon],

and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour [3 pm],
because the sun was obscured;
and the veil of the temple was torn in two.
And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said,
“Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.”
Having said this, He breathed His last.”
- When one ponders the occurrence of the crucifixion, the day before the Sabbath, the impeccable timing of our LORD, we see how God orchestrated every detail, so the world could see with its spiritual eyes the magnitude of the CROSS.
- At high noon, when normally the sun beamed down, darkness covered the earth and remained until 3:00 pm.
- During the darkness, the LORD GOD rent into two separate pieces the temple veil, separating the inner chamber of the Holy of Holies from the people.
In doing so, The Way to God was made possible.
HIS Salvation was Finished—Completed—Done!
In complete dominance, the Lord Jesus Christ gave His life, dying there on the cross, accomplishing that which you and I are totally incapable of doing—for we are sinful creatures, which JESUS IS PERFECTLY SINLESS.
All of our sins were transferred to JESUS when HE remained there on the cross.
Then, Jesus breathed His last earthly breath, doing what we could never do for ourselves—making it possible for us to BE SAVED FROM GOD’S HOLY & JUST WRATH, due to us because of our sins, because of the power of Satan (the devil), who had power over us through death.
REJOICE IN GOD’S PLAN!
IT IS FINISHED!

God values what it means to be human.
- HE understands.
- HE chose to entrust humanity with caring forHIS creation.
- JESUS, because of HIM, GOD understands what it means to be human.
- Because of JESUS, there is no reason or life-experience to cause us or to make us feel alone or separated from HIM.
- JESUS BROKE THE POWER OF DEATH.
