Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

The Magnificent—Amazing—Tantalizing Plethora of what cannot be seen with our physical eyes

I absolutely love our Sunday lunches, the meals we enjoy each week, never knowing for sure who will grace our table.  Yesterday was no exception.  Salmon was the meat chosen, along with white potatoes, roasted vegetables, and stir-fried onions, followed by coffee and conversation on the front veranda.  Hours earlier, this wonderful day began as the Lord shook me awake and led me to Bible study, melodies, and prayer.  Then, the Lord allowed me to share a Bible lesson with peers during our small group time.  Shortly after, I was gifted with the opportunity to visit with six visitors who had chosen to come to church.  Right before the music worship ended, I took my seat in the sanctuary, beside my husband, daughter, and grandson.  Not many minutes later, Bro. Clay stood to preach about “rekindling the fire of our faith.”  During the altar call, the Lord provided an opportunity for me to kneel beside a sister-in-Christ who had gone forward to pray.

As Sunday’s beautiful moments fill my memory, JUST IMAGINE—

  • The tantalizing taste of food we will enjoy at the Lord’s table in heaven.
  • The plethora of opportunities we will receive to serve the Lord in heaven.
  • The multitude of others we will visit in heaven.
  • The magnificent scenery we will experience in heaven.

In writing to the believers living in Corinth, the apostle Paul wrote:

“but just as it is written,
“THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD,
AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN,
ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”

(The 1st Letter of Paul to the Corinthians 2: 9 NASB)

Stop to consider how each one of us was “Made For Heaven,” a melody performed by CAIN.  The lyrics of this song speak that heaven holds so many unfathomable images, and each person God creates has been made to receive them all.  Nevertheless, there remains a necessary step:  We Must Choose to Receive God’s Gift of Salvation.

The apostle John wrote in the images that were revealed to him, and in doing so, he explained a scene in heaven.

The Magnificent—Amazing—Tantalizing Plethora of what cannot be seen with our physical eyes CAN be yours today, but you must Accept Jesus is the Son of God, Receive God’s Gift of Salvation, & Confess Your Sins.  It is a choice to receive the plethora of what Almighty has prepared for us.

“Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels who had seven plagues, which are the last, because in them the wrath of God is finished.
And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of God.
And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,
“Great and marvelous are Your works,
O Lord God, the Almighty;
Righteous and true are Your ways,
King of the nations!
Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy;
FOR ALL THE NATIONS WILL COME AND WORSHIP BEFORE YOU,
FOR YOUR RIGHTEOUS ACTS HAVE BEEN REVEALED.”

(The Revelation to John 15: 1-4 NASB)
